1True peace can only come from a relationship with God, our Heavenly
2Father. It is only through Him that we can find comfort and rest in the
3midst of the storm. Today, Pastor Mark describes to us what it means to
4be a peace maker. First and foremost, we must have peace with God.
5We can do this by asking the LORD to reveal our heart to us. When sin
6is exposed, we must be quick to confess and turn away from it. This will
7bring restoration and thus...the true peace of God will be with you. As
8you grow in your relationship with the Father, you will learn that being a
9part of His body brings persecution. This is when that true biblical peace
10comes into play. No matter what we are going through, we can rest in His perfect peace.

1What does it mean to be blessed and how can we experience God's
2blessing? Well today, Pastor Mark shares with us about having a pure
3heart. We learn that if we have a pure heart, as described in the Bible,
4then we will receive blessing. But what exactly is a pure heart? Is it
5simply having pure thoughts or being a “moral” person....or is it more
6than that? You see, our hearts are the very center of our being. Our
7heart is our soul and who we truly are inside. And while we might be
8able to hide or conceal our “true self” from others, we cannot hide our
9heart from God. So in order to have a pure heart, we must confess our
10sin, receive forgiveness and begin to walk in the ways of the LORD.

1In God's love...He has extended mercy to you and I through His free gift
2of Salvation. We do not deserve it, we cannot earn it, but if we believe
3and accept it...it is ours. Since we have been recipients of God's love,
4mercy and compassion, we should extend mercy to those around us.
5The Scriptures teach us that we are to love the LORD with all our heart,
6soul and mind AND love our neighbor as ourselves. But how do we
7show that we love the LORD? Jesus said, if you love me, keep my
8commands. It should be the desire of our heart to obey God's Word.
9Once we have committed to following His Ways, He is faithful in showing
10us how we can display Godly love, mercy and compassion to others.

1Our God, the Creator of the Universe is righteous and holy. But He is
2also merciful and compassionate. As believers in Jesus, we are to also
3have the same compassion and mercy toward others. You see, we are
4sinners...everyone is. If we were dealt the proper hand of justice, we
5would have no hope. There would be no salvation, no forgiveness and a
6permanent separation from our Heavenly Father. But thankfully, our God
7IS a God a mercy! He loved us so much that He has provided a way for
8our salvation – even though we don't deserve it! So, with that being said,
9since our Father has dealt so mercifully with us, shouldn't we deal with
10others in the same fashion? Mercy is the love of God...in action.

1God created us with desires. Emotional, spiritual and physical desires.
2What are you hungry for? According to the Scriptures, our appetite
3should be for the Word of God. While it is okay to have “things”...such
4as cars, nice homes, a good job...these “things” should never be used
5to fill the void that only a relationship with Jesus Christ can. As
6believers, we are to continually empty ourselves of our own ideas, our
7own plans or opinions. In that empty space, we are to put Jesus! His
8Word, His Ways, His plan for our lives should fill our soul. So the
9question to ask yourself is: What do you desire? Your own ways? Or
10do you hunger and thirst for the righteousness of God our Creator?
