Jesus tells His disciples that they are the salt of the earth. As followers
of the LORD...we are also “Salt”. But what does it mean to be salt?
Pastor Mark explains to us that salt, at one point in time was not just a
useful ingredient, but a valuable item. So, with that being said, Jesus is
making a point to tell us that we, His disciples, are valuable to Him! Salt
also makes people thirsty. So just as the salt, we can cause those
around us to thirst for a real life...a life with meaning...a life with God.
Jesus later explains that the salt that loses it's saltiness...can never get
it's saltiness back. It is of no use. So believer, don't lose your saltiness!
Keep your eyes focused on the things of God...this way...you are not easily corrupted.
