Like a frog slowly adjusts to the changing temperature in a pot...so we can slowly adjust to the changing culture. What will help us resist the changing pull of culture? The Word of God.

Matthew chose to end his Gospel account with 59 words from Jesus that would change the world.

Down through time truth can get mixed up with lies. What you believe about Jesus will determine how you live. Will you embrace the Living Lord or the Leaders Lie?

It is in the moments after death that the Kingdom of God burst forth. Before Jesus was even off the cross His ministry to us was made full.

When the crowds cried out "Crucify Him" they also cried out "may his innocent blood be on is if we are wrong...we will bear the guilt of his death." When we sin we join with the crowd crying out defiantly "may his blood be on us." When we repent we cry out desperately "may his blood be on us" to save us.

Jesus and Peter both faced trials at the same time. The difference in the outcome was based on prayer - Jesus perfectly submitted to God's Will...Peter did not. The situation was not hopeless though...find out how God worked for Peter and for us.

We can't hide our sin from Jesus...and He doens't push us away. We can stop running from Him and instead recieve the invitation to share a meal and receive forgivness!

This is the last public teaching of Jesus and He makes the most of it by speaking clearly and boldly. What He said is vitally important to everyone.
