Since we will rely heavily on input from the entity Seth who spoke through Jane Roberts, it is helpful to understand the environment in which this spirit entity, a teacher, exists. The reality in which "he" and others of his teaching group exist, operate and experience is so different from ours by orders of magnitude, that we much stretch our imaginations to attempt to understand it. They have no attachment to form, for example, and can take on any form they wish. They have no permanent structures and can create what they want whenever they want. They do not communicate with words, but by more complex means. They have many personalities available to them for use when they instruct in various "camouflage realities" such as ours, and they can form other personalities when they wish, though these personalities are then free to go their own way. In this session you are asked to compare our reality to theirs, and to stretch your imagination about what we will become.

The Consciousness Units that are within all matter have a memory bank that would far surpass any computer's. They work with probabilities inside and outside the body, making numerous calculations and predictions before any of us could lift a finger or take one step. Your individual goals and the actions you take to achieve them, taking one probable action instead of another on a daily basis, affect the future experience of the entire human species. In dreams we experience what would happen if we choose one probability over another, and the next day we choose one and make that our acccepted reality. Collectively we all help form the accepted probability sequence of the following day. That applies to uneventful days as well as a day like 9/11. The past and future races of men and women impact to some extent what goes on in our mind today.

In Session 705 dictated in June 1974, the Seth entity started with a discussion of evolution, which expanded to include time, survival of the fittest, cooperation among the mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms, consciousness forming matter, probabilities, the memory capabilities of atoms, molecules and cells, nuclear disaster, mutant life, reptilian men and women, the future development of our species being based largely on our personal beliefs, and how the cells' comprehension straddling time contributes to self-healing of humans.

Since future sesions will rely heavily on input from the Seth entity channeled by Jane Roberts, you the listener deserve to learn about the character, intellect and purposes of Jane Roberts in her own words, so you can judge for yourself whether she is someone whose input you can take seriously. The best way to do that is to hear her words as she wrote them in Chapter 1 of the book, "The God of Jane." In this session I will read that chapter word for word. In my opinion, based on these words and hundreds of other remarks Jane made before and after trance sessions over 20 years, I consider her a person of the highest calibre, with good intent and an exceptional intellect, who was also in many ways just like you and me. I choose to respect and consider valid the material she channeled for its own voluminous content, as well as for Jane's  forthright, objective and initially skeptical view of the Seth material. 

To get some kind of understanding about how we might create what we experience in the 3rd stage of our development, it is necessary to look at the role of ideas. Here we discuss that nothing material comes about without first having been an idea, and that ideas are more real than our material reality. Seth's explanation of how matter is formed from electromagnetic energy units (EEUs) is reviewed, as well as the power of our thoughts and emotions in giving those EEUs sufficient power to become matter. Then you are invited to share in the imaginative exploration of how you would use your power to create what you experience once you have the 3rd stage capabilities.

In our progress toward advancing as a human race, the 3rd step is understanding what we experience. This does not refer to what is known as the "law of attraction," which has been practiced by thousands. Rather it is the concept that we can physically materialize whatever we wish to experience, as Jesus did when he created the "loaves and fishes" to feed a large crowd. It is doubtful that many of us will have attained that ability in the next 55 or 60 years, and today we have no verifiable examples of any human having that ability. Nevertheless, there are writings that describe what our existence might be like when we attain that level of development, and those writings might serve as a blueprint for imagining how we might develop them. To even grasp this possibility, we need to revisit the basic root assumptions we spirits agree to when entering HTSI (Human Time-Space Illusion), and we need to carefully examine the role of ideas in constructing the reality we perceive.

In a recent session probable selves were discussed, but perhaps on too conceptual a level. Here we take a look at the entity Seth explaining to Jane (who channeled Seth) and her husband Rob how probable selves interacted in the lives of Rob's parents and in Jane's life. You are prompted to think of how your own probable selves might be interacting with you.

In this phase of the 2nd step, we'll not only travel routinely with our consciousness outside of our bodies, but we'll also interact with other realities. In some of them we'll be guided by intelligent species who are like guardian angels, intent on helping us advance. They will help us realize it does no good to focus on past instances where we acted in a way we now regret. Far better to focus on probabilities where we act in a way we're proud of. Events after all, they explain, just are. They are illusions meant to help us learn, so we might as well choose to focus on probable events that will help us advance. Bob Monroe's extensive travels with the "inspec" to various realities are summarized here and you are asked to imagine what kind of physical or non-physical reality you'd like to experience.

As discussed previously, the first step in reaching the 2075 reality is for many of us to routinely have out-of-body experiences. The first part of the 2nd step is to discover who we truly are. That includes probable selves, incarnational selves in other time periods, our inner self and Big Self. When we do discover them, the implications are enormous, and they are discussed here.

If by 2075 we are supposed to be aware that we are spirits who are aware of our much larger existence in many realities, how can we get there in just a little over 50 years? To many that would seem impossible, especially given the state of the world today. But it is possible, and the first step will be that many of us will realize we can travel with our consciousness outside of our body.
