One concept I like to think about and how it applies to my life both personally and professionally is “legalism”.

I define legalism as “doing the rule, but missing the point”.

Rules are great guide rails to many things both personally and professionally.

But every rule needs context.

And with context, you can break rules where they need to be broken.

I find a lot of comfort and guidance in my religion. 

Now I fully get each and every person has an individual relationship with God, but I frequently find a lot of inspiration in scripture.  And the beauty of scripture is that you don’t need to even be religious to be inspired by the words.
