Lessons In Business #3: Know your new role as the boss in your own electrical company, If it’s not working - change it and communication matters.

Listen Later

Crowie is sharing the key lessons he learnt in business throughout his years as the owner of an electrical company, and in the years of helping others make their sparky business succeed.

It’s a little bit of this and little bit of that and a whole lot of…

  • Know your titles, you aren’t the ‘rough in lord’ anymore
  • Before you had to do one thing perfectly, now you need to know how to do everything.
  • If something isn’t working, it’s because something’s wrong
  • A big turnover doesn’t mean your electrical business is healthy
  • There’s no substitute for early communication with customers and staff.

  • It isn’t just about site work anymore, you’re the people person, culture setter, system implements, the leader and so much more. Crowie uses the word journey a lot this week but we’ll let that go and learn from all the things he’s dealt with on his “path” to business success.
