Lesson 93: Look But Don't Jump

We need to survey where we are going before we leap. If we don't we will only have ourselves to blame. That said, there are times we shouldn't that the leap even after looking. When we don't have a good reason to jump, there's no need to jump. We need to think things through. #LessonsWithAKing

There are so many buildings going up in Halifax but before those buildings went up, some buildings had to be brought down. Exactly. We have to accept that there are times we have to create but the creation can't happen until something else has been destroyed. #LessonsWithAKing

The first time you hear your voice recorded, it can be a bit jarring and we might decide never to record ourselves again. I would advise against that. We need to share our voices because we have a unique take on life and someone out there might benefit from what we share so yup, love your voice and share it. #LessonsWithAKing

When it's time to replace your batteries, you can tell. For instance, if it were a flashlight, the light beam won't be as bright anymore, it might flicker and eventually, no more light. Before it gets to that point, it's a good idea to swap the dead/dying batteries for new ones. We have to make sure we make time for ourselves to rest and get our batteries recharged pretty much getting back into the fray, fresh. #LessonsWithAKing

We have to take time (daily if possible) to self reflect. We have to take some time out to ask ourselves important questions that force us to take a moment to think things through. Self-reflection can be painful but it will help us grow to be a better version of ourselves. #LessonsWithAKing

No innuendo. The fact is you need to know the amount required to get you to your goal. There's no need to go with less gas than is needed to get to your destination because you won't get there. In fact, if possible go with a bit more than is needed to get to your destination. Know the size needed and make sure you have enough. #LessonsWithAKing
