Let It Bleed

We're back this week for with some hot takes on our local Dove Nazis, vaccinations, and cartoons!  We're off next week!  So go be with your loved ones and start drawing portraits for Christmas presents because you're broke like us!

We got into the OC comedy scene, Catholic school, and convincing foreign strangers to send you inventions! You can keep up with Robbie on instagram for his comedy (@LordBlobbie) or on SoundCloud (soundcloud.com/gospelswamp) for his music! Activist and political operative Joese Gloria was summoned to the studio this week to wax poetic on how to do right by your community. We covered his work helping immigrants earn their citizenship, our role in mentoring the youth, and living in a world where nobody can stand on the sidelines politically anymore. You can check out Joese's podcast at facebook.com/ITZHAPPENINRADIOSHOW/ and if you live in Anaheim, consider voting for the candidate who's campaign Joese is running, Dr. Jose Moreno.

Activist Steven Martin manifested into the studio this week to help remind us why it's so important to vote! Steven walked us down his heart wrenching path to becoming an activist and laid out how he's literally fighting for his life from LA to the halls of the US Senate. The deadline to register to vote is THIS Monday October 22nd! You can register right now in just 3 minutes by going to votesaveamerica.com/register.  You can keep up with Steven @StevenStar on Twitter and Instagram.  Get registered, register 2 friends, then let him know his work makes a difference!

We were joined by singer, songwriter Amanda Brooks aka AJ Euro this week to talk about how she expresses herself to people of all types, staying driven, and Avril Lavigne.  You can find her @Euro_Soul on Instagram for her latest releases!

We sat down with restaurant marketing Guru and CEO of 100inc, Bobby Navarro this week to talk about his incredible journey from food blogger to industry heavyweight!  He dropped a sizzling plate of knowledge on us about being in and branching out from fine dining, his charity that gives opportunities to those in the industry, and the "figure it out" mindset!  You can keep up with Bobby's work and life on Instagram (@100eats and @BobbyBeenThere) in that order.  Cheers!

Comedian Vee Bentley sat down in the studio this week to talk stand up. We chatted about her insane start in comedy, gushed about our favorites, and really nailed it when we discussed comedy's role in society. Don't miss her show "The Blend" in Long Beach at the Beachwood Blendery on October 26th and while you're at it stroll on down to see her perform at Flapper's on September 30th, the Hollywood Improv on October 7th, and follow her on instagram (@veebentley) to find out more about her mysterious new Mic she's putting together in Anaheim on October 10th!

We popped back in to the studio for a mini-episode this week before Dave ventured north wherever the wind blew him and I headed to New York.  We took that time to talk comics, video games, and tea!  Save the date for Art in the Park this month on September 30th!
