Nat Jobe stars as Donkey in Shrek the Musical, which has premiered in Sydney ahead of its Australian tour of Melbourne and Brisbane. Nat is a graduate of WAAPA and has an impressive career in musical theatre. Playing Donkey is Nat’s first lead role in a commercial musical [Producer John Frost/ Gordon Frost Organisation] and it also happens to be the second time he has played this role. This is an insightful interview, hear Nat talk in depth about the musical- Donkey’s character arc; how he developed his physicality for the role and how Donkey heralds the musical’s important theme of embracing people's differences, accepting individuality and self-love.
