It's World Series Time! Game 1 is already in the books and Game 2 will be underway just hours after this uploads but we couldn't resist the opportunity to have a homercast moment with the Atlanta Braves getting their first NL pennant in over two decades. We'll talk about Dave Roberts being hooked on his own bullpen like Chipper Jones to underage waitresses and the self-inflicted wounds that might have caused in their postseason and we'll also discuss some interesting post-series comments made by the Braves relief pitcher Luke Jackson. Also discussed: Ed Orgeron's dismissal (and his apparent love life problems), the Georgia-Florida game this Saturday, and what we think about the Houston Astros. 

Imagine, if you will, an alternate universe in which Freddie Freeman grew up in Venezuela. Perhaps his family are Italians that were displaced to this Latin American country (perhaps, even, by the mob). Maybe his name is just simply, "el Freddi." Maybe this bizarro version of Freddie Freeman also doesn't want to move to California since he has no ties to the West coast state. This week, we somehow get on this hypothetical train as Jonathan gives us some insights into the Spanish language, Latin culture, and some of his childhood that actually was spent in Venezuela. We'll talk the Braves' advancing to the NLCS plus we got a smorgasbord of college football goodness (you know, like shootings over Bama losing to aTm, Georgia's supposed lack of star power, and what the heck is going on in the sport?!)   

As one pundit put it, Bo Nix has to explore the backfield on every play as if it were a Legend of Zelda dungeon; tediously scouring the map for any hidden rupees or heart pieces. We'll recap some of his magical antics this week as well as say auf wiedersehen to Notre Dame's playoff chances this year (auf wiedersehen because you know we'll back here next season staring them down as an unworthy playoff contender). What does Aloha mean if you're a quarterback from Hawaii? How many feline mascots are there in college? Will Urban Meyer ever get his ish together? As one former Saban assistant said, "go get your popcorn," because this one's gonna be good!

Here we come, sliding into your podcast feed on the eve of another exciting college football weekend! We can't stop saying it but holy cow this is a weird season. We'll give a recap of all that happened last weekend, a few picks ahead of this one, and we'll spend some extra time talking about how far south things have gone in Dabo's world. Is being the Dr. Pepper Athlete the Madden Curse of college football? Plus we'll unite around a nice take given about Mark Melancon and his team's exit from playoff contention.

This week, we're reacting once again to the last week's results in the college football season. We'll talk Fresno State beating UCLA without a QB with functioning hips, Auburn's Bo Nix (and why he's easy to make fun of), Florida getting showered in praise after another loss to Alabama, another bad and lazy take by Dan Wolken, Connor McGregor's first pitch at a Cubs game, plus a new segment we like to call, "Is this Incest?" (and NO, this isn't about Auburn). 

As you might have deduced by the title of this episode, we will mourn the once promising career of Atlanta Falcons QB/crash test dummy Matt Ryan (and say a prayer that he will be traded to a mid-tier-at-minimum franchise before his career ends). But before we unite over the slow death that has occurred within all of us over that horrible team, we will talk a lot of college football. We'll talk about a marriage proposal at the end of FSU/Jacksonville State, a cat that stole the show at a Miami Hurricanes game (shocker), Stetson Bennett IV's many nicknames, some conspiracy theories Florida fans have about their QB situation, and we'll talk some point spreads for this coming weekend (we hear, you gambling addicts!).

This week, we give our reactions to the Labor Day weekend of football. We'll talk about a proposal that was made that would make pay-games all the more interesting, some weird stuff Brian Kelly said, the tragedy Bama fans must suffer from all this winning, Georgia vs. Clemson (were their offenses literally slipping and falling on mayonnaise?), the current status of the Peach State's third/fourth most prestigious football program, plus Scott gives us his overall thoughts on what we learned during week 1.

This one's all college football baby! This week, we welcome Daniel Bailey onto our show to preview this season and discuss a ranking system he himself created. We briefly review what happened during week 0, why recruiting still matters, where power football belongs these days, hot seats, cold takes, and more. Bonus material: we'll unite around a minor league baseball umpire who was booed for being a tool to a dog and we get an update on Cam Newton.

This week, we take a look at that most celebrated of snake oils which is preseason college football rankings. Jonathan and Scott get into a heated debate over the front office decisions of the Atlanta Braves, we all get a kick out of Tim Tebow at the H-back, and Gardner Minshew reminds us all why he's still number one in our hearts even if he doesn't have that ranking in the depth chart. Oh yeah, we also get into a discussion on how Mark Emmert basically gets paid lots of money to be a well-dressed recipient for all our grievances in college athletics.
