Denise Arthur has found an article about every day words which are now being called “racist” — words which have been around in common use for 50 to 100 years. This constant push by the extremist Democrats for what they declare to be “politically correct” needs to stop. You can play their game by just not speaking your mind any more, or you can continue saying what you think — protecting your Right of Free Speech in the process. Our Mamas are not going to be quiet.

Little children ask a lot of questions, and until they get the answers they think they are wanting, they don’t stop asking questions. As our American Mama, Denise Arthur, explains, that is exactly what happened when a 23-year old military trainee hijacked a Columbia, SC school bus driven by Kenneth Corbin at gunpoint. The bus was loaded with 18 kindergarteners. Their collecting, non-stop questions about what he was going to do, adding to the hijacker’s stress. After about 4 miles, he made the kids and the driver get off the bus, and tried to drive the bus himself. The hijacker was quickly arrested and charged with 19 counts of kidnapping. The bus driver received an award from the City for his heroic handling of the situation.

“Lawnmower Parents” go to extreme lengths to try to protect their older children from ever experiencing disappoint, failure, or otherwise negative experiences. But our American Mama, Denise Arthur, says this is not good for them. One of the most important skills they will need as adults is the ability to cope through difficulty and disappointment, and these skills are learned as children and young adults when they have to experience disappointment. Parents cannot “short cut” that process.

Denise Arthur discusses the wonderful effort being done by business owner Tiffany Fixter in Englewood, CO to employ young adults with disabilities and special needs; but her business is now being attacked because she does. She said she actually received death threats when she first opened the business and hired people with autism. Truthfully, we need a lot more businesses around the country to start doing this! These young people need to have a sense of value and worth just like everyone else does.

Denise Arthur strongly believes it is time for parents to take back control of their children’s education. Until they are grown adults, the parents are responsible for caring and protecting them, and too many parents are “holding back” when they definitely should not be. This time, the New York City private school with a tuition of $47,000, Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School, held a mandatory workshop, entitled “Pornography Literacy: An intersectional focus on mainstream porn.” When the subject matter is so pornographic or otherwise sexually explicit that it cannot be discussed openly on the radio, your schools and your children are in trouble.

Teri Netterville and Denise Arthur are truly horrified at the contents in some of the required high school textbooks now being used in the Loudoun County Public Schools (located in the northern part of Virginia). The subject matter and words are so sexually explicit and inappropriate that they are not allowed on radio, and yet these textbooks are required reading for high school freshmen! The parents are also having problems with this same school board pushing Critical Race Theory into the classrooms! Time to replace the entire School Board!

Mets batter, Kevin Pillar, was unintentionally hit in the face by a 95 mph pitch fastball, breaking his nose. In a later press conference, Pillar expressed real concern for the Braves pitcher, Jacob Webb, worrying that Webb will not be negatively impacted by the accident. Both men have been talking with each other since the injury. Our @American Mamas, Teri Netterville and Denise Arthur, are very impressed with the lessons Pillar has taught an entire generation of younger players…… of appropriate grace, dignity, and compassion look like with his own high class behavior following the injury. Equally significantly, Pillar did not blame anyone. It is time we all follow Pillar’s example and start being more concerned about others than we are ourselves.

There was a time when sororities were very pleased to have their members involved in campus politics, and this included Alpha Phi. Apparently, today, belonging to a sorority and having your own opinions is not acceptable any more…..at least not if you are an Alpha Phi at LSU.
