Fair warning, you may shed a tear listening to this episode, good tears of course.  Also, you might be asked to donate a toilet.

Have you ever witnessed the unwavering dedication of someone determined to make a difference? That's exactly what you'll experience as Kimmy Chandler, the founder of Fluff Animal Rescue, joins us to share her incredible story. From the humble beginnings of a single act of compassion, Kimmy's journey blossomed into a thriving nonprofit animal rescue, exemplifying the power of community and the love for our four-legged family members. Throughout our conversation, we explore how a simple garage sale sparked the development of a sprawling thrift store, fueling the rescue's mission while paying tribute to the touching support from Kimmy's late father and the unwavering commitment of her family, staff, fosters, and volunteers.

Getting up close and personal, we uncover the ambition and heart behind Fluff Animal Rescue's expansion into a new, versatile facility. Kimmy opens up about the monumental task of transforming a passion into a full-fledged operation that goes beyond the basics—it's about creating a multifunctional space for training, medical care, and even a pet food bank. We discuss the remarkable community effort required to bring this vision to life, from the skilled volunteers laying tiles to the generous souls fostering animals in need. It's a story that's as much about building a rescue center as it is about constructing a foundation for kindness and care within our society.

Finally, we envision the future of animal welfare with Fluff Animal Rescue at the forefront. Dreams of puppy yoga, educational programs, and a summer camp for aspiring animal advocates give us a glimpse into the enrichment and expansion on the horizon. The episode culminates with an invitation to join forces with Kimmy and her team—whether by volunteering, donating, or simply sharing their story. Every gesture, no matter how small, is a step towards a brighter tomorrow for countless animals. So, let's band together and be part of this incredible narrative of compassion and change.

Imagine turning your passionate heart and sharp business mind into a force for animal rescue - this is reality for our guest, Mo Eppley. Mo's journey is nothing short of inspiring, from establishing her own graphic design business to becoming a driving force in animal rescue. As Board Chair for Friends of Strays, she has been part of the team that significantly increased adoption numbers, and her family's involvement in the Doggy Day Out program has been a catalyst for many successful adoptions. But that's not all, Mo is deeply involved in fostering and rescuing dogs, and plays a critical role as trainer, volunteer, and medical director for a new rescue dedicated to Malinois and Dutch Shepherds.

What's even more fascinating is how Mo marries her passion and profession, leveraging her creative design skills to make an impact in the world of animal rescue. Together, we journey into the complexities of evaluating dogs, matching them to the right homes and understanding a dog bite's context - it's an eye-opener! Not only this, Mo highlights the diverse ways in which you can volunteer, and the pivotal role that national transport groups play in saving animal lives. So join us, as we shed light on this fascinating intersection of passion and business, and learn how you too can contribute to this meaningful change.
