In today's episode, I had the opportunity to have a chit chat with some of my favourite cinematographer and filmmaker - Mr Zafar Mehdi, who is a cinematographer and filmmaker as I already mentioned and is currently working with one of the best wedding filmmaking companies in the world I can surely say and that is The house on the clouds.
We talked about Zafar’s back story and how he got into filmmaking and how he was able to get a job at the HOTC (or the house on the clouds) and guys, spoiler alert - it's a very interesting story. We talked about where he gets his inspiration from and how he is able to achieve a mood in his videos and how basically he gets to create content for himself while working full time with HOTC.
And obviously, we talked about the camera gear he uses, the picture profiles, the lights and all that jazz. We also talked a lot about weddings where he shared some great insights on how he and the team at HOTC work together and how they are able to create some of the best wedding films every single time.
There are just so many things that we talked about in this one and I don't want to give too much away here. Listen to the podcast and get to know by yourself. Cheers!

#MohnishDoultani #letsbeatmediocrity #sonya7siii
In today's episode, we have with the one and only Mohnish Doultani, for the second time on the podcast! Yes, we have already done an episode earlier with Mohnish on the podcast where we talked about his journey and some other basic things but this time we go deep into what we just touched upon in our previous episode.
In this episode, we talked about him moving to the city of dreams - Mumbai from Nagpur and why this move to Mumbai. We talked about his transition to Sony from Canon and the issues he is facing now as a Sony user coming from Canon. Also, we talked about the hot topic of the town and that is the Sony a7siii. Mohnish recently got the Sony a7siii and the latest DJI gimbal the RSC 2 and he shared his opinions on them.
We also talked about transitions, color grading and I asked him the questions that some of you listeners asked me to ask him through one of my Instagram stories.
This episode is different from the regular "Let's beat mediocrity" podcast episodes but is no less fun or informational.

Hi everyone and welcome to another episode of the Let's beat Mediocrity podcast! In today's episode, we have with us a great Photographer, videographer and Philosopher who is our first international guest on the podcast and his name is Habib Saleh.
#habibSaleh #letsbeatmediocrity #podcast
I found out about Habib through one of his Fashion videos that I saw on Vimeo and his work stood out to me a lot and that's how we connected later on Instagram. He was kind enough to be on the podcast and today's episode is just very different from the regular episodes that we have done so far.
We talked about so many things in this episode and to name some, we discussed why Canon is better than Sony in terms of video. I mean, its debatable but that's what we both kinda think. We talked about what he looks in his models and how he is able to create something new everytime and how does he comes up with all these ideas. He also talks about where he takes his inspiration from and why he tries to stay away from instagram as much as possible.
He also mentioned why he doesn't use external lights to light his subjects and why he prefers to not shoot at golden hour.
There are so many great things we talked about in this one and I am so sure you will love this episode.
