Jen Korte (aka Lady Gang) and Felix Ayodele (aks Felix Fast4ward) are two of Denver's most talented musicians! Both from Texas, both loop musicians, both have made names for themselves in genres other than Hip Hop. However, Felix started as a b-boy and a DJ and Jen has deep emotional roots with Hip Hop and is now tapping into those with her newest project Lady Gang. 
In this episode I came "overly prepared" as Felix says. I am so inspired and motivated by these two musicians I did a lot of research and came with pages full of the things I wanted to know about them. We discuss the transitions these tow have made; musically, geographically and mentally. We discuss racism and sexism in the music industry. We discuss over coming obstacles we have faced. This hour and 45 minute conversations touches many topics and is never boring!

SAiiiNT stops by this week. We get to discuss his opinion on not getting to set on long term goals, the importance of authenticity and a point a view I have never had myself - when it comes to making music - simply making it because there is a demand for it. Some rappers rap because the demand is there and business is good. SAiiiNT is one of them. He can be quoted saying something along the lines of, "The second they stop asking me to make music, I'll stop making music." He points out there are many other things he could do with his time. As of right now though, he's using his time to make good music for us. One track per week is SAiiiNT's goal for the rest of 2019. Looking forward to seeing what's in supply for our demand!

This episode is important because it helped me realize the type of information I'd like to get from my future guests. The conversations I have with them will be similar to this one I had with myself this week.

One of JuiceBizzy's closest friends and biggest local inspirations comes in this episode. Together they reminisce on and discuss what it was like being introduced and involved with the underground scene. This episode, though not very in depth touches on an important piece of information about Denver's Hip Hop scene and gives a great lesson to any artists starting out: We are tight knit. Sticking together and inspiring each other to become better in every way is the only way we make it as a whole.

JuiceBizzy gets vulnerable and informative as he discusses the recent passings of Nipsey Hussle and Mac Miller and his take on 2018 in hip hop, as well as his experience and upbringing in Denver's underground scene. He is not too shy to dive into his personal backstory where he talks about his experience with drug addiction and his recovery and how that affected his artistry and his passion then and what it's done for him now!
