There is not an activity that is more transparent than prayer. It is the opening of the Heart and the holding of a belief that one's life is connected to Infinite Intelligence. This All-ness is called by many names: God, Spirit, Creator, but by any name, it is the Source of Life.  

 

The Center for Spiritual Living in Kansas City, Missouri, is offering an opportunity for Kansas City to come together in prayer in the month of January to observe the power of prayer. They are taking the crime statistics from January 2012, praying specifically for peace in our town in January, and observing the statistics at the end of the month. The invitation to pray will be every day, but a prayer service will be held every Monday night at CSL at 7 p.m. All faiths are welcome because the energy of prayer is not about a faith as much as it is about an intention.

Wilson Smith did that literally; he'd worked for years as a security guard (the pun is intended)! After a prosperity course at Unity with yours truly, Wilson knew his life was too precious to choose outer "security" over "inner knowing." Wilson summoned up all the vitality of his soul and resigned from a job that was not his anymore. He is now busy creating a one-man show called Saturday Night on a Dead End Street. He has also resurrected his poignant and moving poetry, about which he'd carried a story given to him by others that his poetry was too "out there." One of the many things I've learned from Wilson is "out there" is the only way the unique, irreplaceable you is supposed to live!
