The popular cultural understanding is that all  the gods of the religions are the same or the Judeo Christian God does not exist except in theory alone. In this show, Rob dispels both objections giving an answer to the religious pluralism claim that all deities are the same using three statements:  (1) God made all (2) God is all and (3) No God at all.

When you think of the New age worldview, one might think of karma and pantheism. But when it comes to science in the New Age worldview, we are also not to consider naturalistic evolution though the new age wants to borrow from a macro evolution. The main pursuit in the spiritual evolution is a new consciousness that redefines man's condition, and who Jesus is. There is nothing compatible with the Biblical worldview. Brad Pitt declares, “It’s taking everything you’ve learned from your parents and school and finding out what works for you and what you have to offer. The important question is, ‘What feels right for you?’” Shirley MacLaine reminds us, “It [is] not possible to judge another’s truth.” Such is the mantra of the ethics of the New Age (Cosmic Humanism) worldview. While there seems to be nothing new under the Sun with relativism, the New Age puts a karmic spin that needs to be responded to, and Rob does just that.

A theology cannot escape the undergirding philosophy behind it. That is the case with all religions and all religious worldviews. While the New Age does not have a central figure, there common points that Rob draws ranging from epistemology, ontology and metaphysics. What is the philosophy of this New Age worldview? Rob answers this question an a whole lot more in this episode of The Real Issue Podcast.

Like every other worldview, New Age theology forms the foundation for all other aspects of its worldview. However, the New Age movement (Cosmic Humanism) differs from Christianity, Islam, and the secular worldviews in that it embraces neither theism nor atheism. Rob shows how the New Age worldview believes all things are divine, or a part of God: people, rocks, trees, stars, etc. Since everything and everyone is a part of God we have to get in touch with the “god within” to achieve total cosmic unity.
