- Today I’m talking about the power of saying NO.

This is an interesting and sometimes confusing topic for many small business owners.

When we launch our own services or start selling our own products, we can go into YES mode, saying yes to all of the things, saying yes to all of the opportunities because we don’t know how to say no.

I am raising my hand here and admitting that for a long time - most of my life, I have been a people pleaser. Even if their suggestion or offer would put me on the back foot, I would still say yes. And looking back, I think that’s a little insane.

When you say yes to things that are not meant for you, what you are essentially doing is also saying no to the things that are.

Here is your one way ticket on the small business rollercoaster express. 

You go up, you come down, you stay on a stagnant track for a little while and then the loops begin again.

Stagnant can also be defined as "having no current or flow and often having an unpleasant smell as a consequence." Ah ha yep, it can be unpleasant smelling alright!

I share the things I wish I knew (but didn't) when launching my business.

Warning - it's pretty raw and real, so I suggest wearing a set of headphones around younger humans. Enjoy.
