Iomikoe Woods is incredible. Before even speaking with her, I know this lady is going to bring an amazing energy to my day! We've exchanged a couple of voice messages on Instagram and she expresses herself with a radiance that bounces out of my speakers. You only need scroll her page to understand what she's about. Radiant, positive, beauty.
I'm so excited to speak with her, not only about her skin condition, but about the amazing global transformation and shift in thinking that inspires Iomikoe with so much hope for her grandchildren's future.
Joanna battled eczema as a child. It isn't something she really remembers from that time, but a flare up during pregnancy sent her skin crazy. It wasn't just dry patches, it was angry, weeping and unbearably itchy. There were some days when she would literally sit for hours scratching her legs until they bled and the cycle would continue.
Listen to Joanna share her battle and the changes she made to eventually overcome this condition naturally. It's a tough journey, it didn't happen overnight .. but it's fair to say Joanna has embraced it at every step.

James McLeod is proud of his skin. He has vitiligo, colour pigment is missing from one side of his face, but that is not the first thing I notice about him. It's his unstoppable energy!
James does not shy away from conversation, he tells his story with beautiful openness and honesty. I almost feel ashamed at having spent so many years trying to disguise & cover up my psoriasis. If you feel self conscious about your skin, or struggle to accept your appearance, let That Vitiligo Guy lead you along a path of acceptance.

A slightly longer podcast than usual because I had so many questions I wanted to ask Nicky! We're mid-CoronaVirus here in England and of course globally. The national psyche has changed to one of uncertainty and anxiety and both feel very real. That's something we touch upon in this episode along with the broader picture of grief and trauma, how we can work with them and how they can be directly responsible for flaring our skin.
