I was reached out to recently by a financial advisor on LinkedIn. The thing is, my wife and I already have a financial advisor. The guy then said, "Well, never hurts to get a second opinion, right?"
In the past, I would have agreed. But then I thought about it, and realized that sometimes, a second opinion is not what you need.
So here are my thoughts on when to get second opinions, or to learn new things or take those "time for a 7 minute call?" calls, and when it's just going to be a distraction.
