This week,  I zoom with Grand Rapids Comedian Iron Mike Bussler. We talk wrestling, comedy specials, outdoor comedy, government conspiracy and 5G. Because of this, the government overlords shut down my internet and we need to reconvene to finish out the podcast. I forgot to hit record on one of the call backs so shit gets a little choppy at the end…sorry.

Mike is one of my favorite local comedians and an amazing joke writer. He is the show runner of Front Bar Comedy at the Pyramid Scheme, and with venues and bars being shut back down, this show is on a bit of a hold until things open back up. Go see Mike any time you have a chance, he is the World Heavyweight Champion on Comedy.

Today I zoom with New Jersey's own,  Comedian Mike Makliewicz, we talk about trash TV, Jersey, poor tippers, slum lords and basement laundry room toilets. I met Mike when I was coming up in the Grand Rapids scene, then he left us all with a broken heart for bigger and better things.

Today you can find him hanging out with Bruce Springsteen in Asbury Park, maybe at the Stone Pony. Mike is a great comedian who provided invaluable advice to me when I was starting out and I hold him as a dear friend to this day. The Grand Rapids scene lost a genuine treasure when he moved back to Jersey.  If you’re in Jersey you can see Mike at various outdoor open mics in parks or under bridges, or at Vinnie Brand’s Stress Factory.

Today I sit down with my wonderful wife Cindy Cook. We talk about ball farts, call a friend, discuss community issues, I teach her that burping on the mic is cool, and we just have fun in an all around shit show of a podcast. Make a drinking game out if it and have a shot every time one of us sighs in exasperation of each other.

This was honestly one of the most fun podcasts I have done, and we may continue to do them together occasionally as bonus material.

Today I zoom with Grand Rapids comedian Jost Ortega. We chat about golf, the return of sporting events and comedy, RTJ4, summer plans or lack thereof and missing live music.

Josh is a great comedian who has been killing it for years. He has featured for Chad Daniels, and hosted shows for many great comedians at Dr. Grin’s here in Grand Rapids. Josh is also one of the comedians behind the Rockin’ Homegrown Jam for Laughfest which is one of my favorite shows every year.  Keep an eye out for the reschedule later this year.
