So many different types of fairs. Book Fairs, Science Fair, Local Fair, State fair. What do they all have in common? What makes something a Fair?

Is a Circus a Fair? Is Coney Island a Fair?

If I just show up at your work with a Snow Cone- dressed up like a Carnival Worker* - ready to guess your weight, would that make your place of work a Fair? Probably not.
