    - A protest in Hobart about proposed legislation stopping transgender people from competing in sport.

  • Episode 10: Grace Tame Speaks Out, ScoMo Apologises, The Religious Discrimination Bill Get Shelved.

As usual, this episode contains frequent swearing, and we do discuss both Grace Tame and Brittany Higgins, two high-profile sexual assault victims. That Clancy has a potty mouth.

One of our listeners has requested some sensitivity about how we discuss Grace Tame so I have chopped the episode up - so yes, it is out of order. That's what the beeps are for.

    Introduction: 0:00 - 1:30

    Grace Tame Discussion: 1:32 - 4:02
    Parliamentary Apology: 4:04 - 11:02

After 11:02, we get back to normal. Normal for us, anyway.

    Topics covered:

    - Grace Tame accuses the Australia Day Council of asking her to make a promise to not say something bad about PM Scott Morrison.

    - The Parliament of Australia officially apologises to the women abused and harrassed in Parliament in the course of their duties, as per
    - The Religious Discrimination Act isn't dead...but maybe already is.
    - CitiPointe Christian College puts their foot in their mouth.

  • Episode 9 - Novak? No Thanks; Boris McPartyPants; Scott's Minor Plan; The Ashes; Invasion Day Discussion

In episode 9 of Let's Save The Governor-General, Phoebe and Damien discuss the meaty topic while Clancy wrestles with a lack of electricity.

    Topics discussed:

    - Novak Djokovic gets deported.

    - Not strictly to do with Australia, but still relevant - Boris Johnson's trouble with alcohol.
    - Scott Morrison wants kids on forklifts.
    - Australia rightfully claim The Ashes, and Phoebe explains how the Women's Ashes works.
    - And the big one, an informal discussion on the opinion that the 26th January, Australia Day, should be called Invasion Day instead.

  • Episode 8 - "Captain's Call": Tony Abbott As Australia's 28th PM

In this episode of Let's Save The Governor-General, the panel discusses a period between 2013 to 2015 when Anthony (Tony) John Abbott was Australia's 28th Prime Minister.

Abbott would lead the Liberal/National coalition to power, defeating a newly-returned Kevin Rudd at the 2013 Federal Election. However Abbott, admittedly one of the most polarising figures in recent Australian political history, would not enjoy a wide base of support among the general population which thus exacerbated the criticism of his missteps and failures.

Join Clancy, Damien and Phoebe for our typical casual chat with plenty of sexual humour and bad language.
