I will preface this episode by saying that 99% of people who said these things to me meant well. I know their intentions were supportive... BUT they still hurt. The title really says it all. The biggest piece of the divorce puzzle for me, was my daughters--they were at the center of every tough conversation, every decision. Excuse the tears shed during this episode.

After two years, we finally had our day in court. This episode is sort of three parts... 1 intro, 1 part recorded on my phone just moments before court, and 1 part recorded after.

Finding your people is one of the most important things to do once you've made the decision to move forward with a divorce. Working through ALL of the things that go along with divorce is not something you can do, or should do alone.

After a really interesting conversation with women at my work, I wanted to talk about the idea of "letting go". Why do we (particularly women and mothers) have such a hard time letting go of the control and asking for support? Why are we the first people to offer help or support, but find it challenging to ask for it? Clearly lots to unpack here!

As a parent, there are obviously a lot of things I want to teach my children. It wasn't until recently that I realized in teaching them, I would also be teaching myself.
