  • The one where we discuss Survivor's Guilt

Episode three is inspired by a dear friend who has a similar loss and wants to hear more about survivor's guilt. The topic is defined by resources from Psychology Today website and audio clips from Sarah and Megan are featured. Correlations between Covid and survivor's guilt are made and listeners are urged to find ways that they can turn their pain into purpose through a worthy cause linked to their loss. Thanks for listening and as always, be kind to your mind!

  • The one that offers HOPE for teens ... and all of us

In this second episode of Let's Sit Crooked and Talk Straight I offer my perspective on what a simple sign in a middle school hallway can do. Listen along as I walk and talk and sometimes breath heavy because cardio isn't my forte. I put a lot of blood, sweat and breath into this one and appreciate your feedback in regard to helping a loved one in your life that struggles with mental illness because after all mental illness can merely be a symptom of life itself. Beautiful comments from the first episode are shared and as always there are sensitive subject material regarding suicide that should be listened with caution. I appreciate every ear willing to listen. #bekindtoyourmind

  • The one with the fresh first episode
Debut podcast of Let’s Sit Crooked & Talk Straight. Introduction of a passion project driven by gaps in the mental health system but also strength in the stories I have encountered from humans practicing steadfast faith in various obstacles of life. A place to laugh for a bit but also get to the heart of the matter in a way that will leave you thanking God that podcasts even exist in the first place. This initial episode focuses on the life of my brother Michael Deichmann from the 14 minutes of his eulogy as told by his sister. Thank you for listening to a tender piece of my story and I welcome you to stick around for many more engaging episodes.
