I love Dr. Seuss books. I grew up reading Dr. Seuss books. I remember going to the neighbourhood library and reading for hours all the different books he wrote.

When I learned that in march 2021, 6 of his books were being pulled and banned I was very keen to learn more about it.

Why were they banned? Was Dr. Seuss racist? All these questions I answer (from my perspective) in this podcast episode

I will never forget the first time I opened a Pokemon pack of trading cards.

As a little kid, watching Pokemon on TV and playing Pokemon Yellow on my Gameboy color, this was the most exhilarating feeling ever.

When I decided to get the new Pokemon booster box recently and I opened that 1st pack, all those feelings as a kid came back. Especially that of nostalgia and emotions towards my father, the one who bought me my first ever pack.

Memories have a way of instilling themselves inside of items and whenever we interact with them those memories come right back.

What a feeling!

I always loved reading as a kid.  

There were infinite worlds for me to escape in and live a life of someone brave, courageous, and cool...something I wasn't at the time.  

Two books for me were crucial in my early development and growth of my imagination; The Wringer and Maniac Magee, both written by Jerry Spinelli.  

It was only last year I emailed Mr. Spinelli some questions and he actually answered.  This is that story.
