This week, in recognition of Indigenous Peoples' Day in Canada, we're talking about CELEBRATING INDIGENOUS SUCCESS with Jenn Harper.
As the founder of Cheekbone Beauty, Jenn is an award-winning social entrepreneur of the digitally native direct to consumer brand. Cheekbone Beauty has set out to help Indigenous youth see themselves in a beauty brand after Jenn was inspired by a dream she had years ago.
Jenn is leading the way to create a new segment in the beauty industry - Sustainable Socially Conscious Beauty and is absolutely killing it! As she continues to grow the brand, she is cognizant of her heritage and maintains a strong cohesion to the values that her people have held for thousands of years when making decisions.
Elise sat down with Jenn to speak about starting Cheekbone Beauty, how she remains connected to the Indigenous community and where she's headed next!

In this episode, we wanted to highlight the work of small indigenous businesses across Canada. Out of many businesses, we chose to highlight Skwalwen Botanicals and Lodge Soy Candles for the work they are doing and continue to do through their brand and their products as an homage to their culture. Both of these advertisements were provided complimentary to the brands as a gesture of our appreciation for their continued preservation of Indigenous culture in our country. We encourage you to check out these brands and the many others Indigenous-owned businesses that exist.
