This week Safe House Project co-founders, Brittany Dunn& Kristi Wells, are joined by Lisa Lombardozzi.
Lisa Lombardozzi is a wife, mother, professional and child abuse Thriver. Despite being abused from infancy to nearly 19, she refused to allow her childhood trauma to become her life-long identity, and now uses her abuse experiences to reach other survivors with a message of hope and healing. Lisa has spoken to groups large and small to bring awareness and education on identifying and preventing sexual abuse. In 2017 she met with Senators and Delegates at the Virginia General Assembly to communicate the need for better personal protection education to be taught from pre-school through high school and intends to continue to work with lawmakers on these tough issues. She has served on the board of multiple child and military related non-profits and enjoys volunteering.
Professionally, Lisa serves as Practice Administrator for three Virginia Beach Chiropractic offices and frequently speaks on team development and practice management for a variety of chiropractic groups and associations.

As a survivor of sex trafficking and drug addiction, Jasmine is an effective keynote speaker, panel participant and facilitator for trainings, workshops and groups. She has spoken on panels at the U.S Commission on Civil Rights in New Hampshire and at two side panels for members of the United Nations in New York.
In addition, Jasmine consults with healthcare professionals, law enforcement personnel, educators and nonprofit organizations. She advises on issues such as safe homes, program growth, curriculum development, survivor support and peer mentorship. She is Founder and Director of Bags of Hope Ministries, and Author of The Diary of Jasmine Grace. Trafficked. Recovered. Redeemed.

As Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Impact at dōTERRA International, Missy guides one of the world’s most active corporate-philanthropy operations with a mission to empower people and communities worldwide to make positive and sustainable change while building self-sufficiency. Over the past three decades, Missy has become recognized as a collaborative leader known for her results-focused work. Her passion is connecting resources for community-building initiatives. Missy is the founder of Intrepid Communications, the co-founder of the Utah Refugee Connection (previously Coalition), founding chair of SafeUT, and serves on numerous boards as a volunteer. Prior to dōTERRA, she served as Chief of Staff to Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes where she led many initiatives, trainings, and task forces in a wide range of issues including anti-human trafficking, anti-crime, safe schools, and diversity. Missy and her husband, Sam, are the parents of four children.

Kimberli Kocherhans is a mother and grandmother, artist, writer, Ironman 70.3 and activist. She is the president and founder of The Healing Center For Complex Trauma, a facility that will provide comprehensive services for those suffering from the effects of trafficking and profound trauma.
Kimberli is an advocate, educator and consultant where she works directly with survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence and providers of service. She is an active member of the Utah Trafficking In Persons Task Force, National Survivor Network, and National Leadership Institute. She volunteers for anti-human trafficking organizations and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
She has presented for such organizations as Hill Air Force Base, The Utah Department of Corrections and The University of Utah Hospital Department of Social Work on the topics of Human Trafficking and “A Survivor’s Story: Navigating The Effects of Complex Trauma”.
Because of her own experience in human trafficking and torture and the extreme difficulty of trying to heal and being unable to find adequate and sustainable services, Kimberli is determined to make the healing journey for survivors possible and accessible including assisting providers to incorporate best practices and attitudes in their approach.

Dan's a teacher and business builder at his core. It’s an odd combination, he admits, but all business development activities contain a component of education. Educate leadership on why a direction is necessary, sales teams on how to improve performance, customers on the value of a product or service just to name a few common examples. In both his work and personal endeavors building the business through learning is what gets him up in the morning, regardless of what “the business” is.

Carla is known for her ability to speak relevant truth that energizes and encourages others to walk boldly and live loudly. Carla is also known for her straightforward approach to life and She lives by the mantra, “Knowing who you are helps you reject who you are not”.
In addition to being a dynamic speaker, Carla Stephens is the consulting producer and star of Bravo’s television show, “Mother Funders”. Carla is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of two trucking companies and is among the few women in such a male dominated industry. Carla has always believed that women can do everything and that despite it being an industry that is majority male, there were great career opportunities in the trucking industry for women.
Carla works tirelessly to raise money and awareness for several organizations that she is passionate about. She recently founded a non-profit organization, RockStar Fundraising Corporation that focuses on raising funds to help in the fight against human trafficking and to serve survivors directly. Additionally, she launched her initiative, Stop Traffic Mission Funding because of the overwhelming need for survivors and organizational support due to COVID-19.
While she loves her work, she is passionate about the time she spends serving alongside those who fight to stop the sexual exploitation of children. In fact, Carla was named the first-ever Celebrity Brand ambassador of Wellspring Living and was listed as one of the top nine celebrities who use their platform to fight human trafficking.
Carla is known in her community as a change catalyst with strong leadership and organizational skills. She has served on several advisory boards and has an affinity for program development in small organizations.

This week Safe House Project co-founders, Brittany Dunn& Kristi Wells, are joined by Nigel "Legin" Anderson, Christian Hip Hop Artist & Co-Founder of Safe House Project.
Nigel "Legin" Anderson is a spoken word artist, gospel hip hop artist, podcaster and preacher/speaker who uses transparency to connect and art to communicate with his listeners. Inspired by his father’s battle with addiction, Legin speaks about fatherlessness to forgiveness, as well as racial reconciliation and urban apologetics amongst other topics, and the hope of the gospel in his music.
Legin’s recent spoken word release Dark Room tells listeners that “pictures develop best in dark rooms” and that “all things work together” (Rom. 8:28) in the hands of God. Legin has appeared on stage with Lecrae and opened for artists like KB, Tedashii, Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Social Club, Canon, Aaron Cole, and Flame among others. He has produced and promoted tours throughout the United States and has performed in London, England; Nairobi, Kenya; and Pretoria and Cape Town, South Africa. Through his label Renaissance Music Legin released the compilation album Lions in Suits (2016) as well as his Cloud 12 EP (2014), amongst other releases.
Through Expect Renaissance, his non-profit organization, Legin and fellow artists Sinai and Focus produced Safe House by RMM (2017), and all album proceeds will help build a safe house in South Africa, by early 2019, to protect children from sex trafficking. On Safe House Legin worked with Grammy-nominated artist Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Grammy-winning artist KJ Scriven, lyricist Eshon Burgandy (NFTRY), and Jered Sanders (God Over Money Records) to produce this ground-breaking album.
Lastly, Legin recently launched the Fear Not Podcast encouraging listeners to go after their dreams and tackle tough things in the face of very real fears. He shares life applications as well as interviews interesting guests who have achieved much despite fears to inspire listeners. Fear Not is not for the fearless, but for those who fear less, and it’s available on iTunes and YouTube.
A Hampton Roads, VA, native, Legin, his wife, Tia, and their two children attend Crossroads Church, an SBC church, in Norfolk, VA, where he preaches monthly and serves on staff. Both he and his church subscribe to the Baptist Faith and Message.
