Let's Talk About Talking

Today I talk about one of my favorite books "From Head to Toe" by Eric Carle and how you can use it to get your child talking.  I also give you ways to use stackable toys (such as animals and blocks) to increase speech skills.  Lastly, I give you ways to stay organized when it comes to your child's paperwork such as IEPs, test results and etc.

There are many skills that a child needs to have before he or she actually says a word.  Today I talk about the building blocks that need to be in place before talking begins:

-Eye Contact

-Joint Attention

-Gestures
