In 2014, Miami Dade County settled for $1.6 Billion against the lawsuit by the federal government because our failing sewage and septic system and agreed to fix it by 2025. Since then, little has been done, posing a threat to our environment as seen by the recent fish kill in Biscayne Bay, to our economy due to dangerous bacteria in our waterways for which many tourists flock to, and to our health since the waste is seeping into our sole source of drinking water, the Biscayne Aquifer. Florida State Senator Jason Pizzo, explains what's happening, and what solutions are available to get this fixed including what mayoral candidate best fits the job to get it done.
