OA is a progressive disease that is why early detection is so important as early identification can have a major impact on a patient's well-being. In this episode, Dra. Calderón will emphasize on the social and economic impact of early OA detection and in the patient's role in early diagnosis.

To date, is little known about the genetic backgroun of OA. Today we have the opportunity to listen to our guest, Dr. Yusuf Erdem, Orthopaedic surgeon in Gulhane Training and Research Hospital. He will share with us if there is any scientific evidence that associates genes with risks of developing OA, understand what is the rol of genetics behind this disease.

Hoy tenemos la oportunidad de escuchar a nuestro invitado, el doctor Yusuf Erdem, cirujano ortopédico del Hospital Gulhane de Formación e Investigación. Dr Andrés Silberman explains the importance of adherence in osteoarthritis by looking at the evolution of adherent and non-adherent patients. He will also explain the different ways of measuring adherence in osteoarthritis and what actions can be done to help patients become more adherent.
