We discuss the differences between the teachers and students music taste. We also have considered the different ages of the students vs the teachers, and we will see how that affects their music taste.

Our podcast “TY Tea” focuses on Clifden Community School TY students discussing current events in the school. We talk about trips we go on, workshops we have participated in, speakers that come to talk to us and events that are happening in our TY lives. Our podcast includes interviews with other TY students to get their opinions on the topics we cover.

In this episode of today's music, Oisin was interviewed by Marcus about his music interest and career. Alex was then interviewed by Gavin about his music and career In Oisin's interview he explained how he found interest in music at an incredibly early age. He still loves to play music today and is hoping to make a career in it. He specified about the instruments he likes to play such as guitar and bass and for how long he has been playing them .In Alex's interview he explained how he was influenced by his famous grandfather (Tom Mullen) and how he learned to play the mandarin and banjo on the instruments his grandfather made. Alex has a small career playing in the local pubs around Connemara .

This episode, ‘Tea Time’, is about the influence celebrities have on us as teenagers and young adults. During this episode, using a questionnaire and five individual interviews, we found out who people thought were a good and bad influence on teenagers.

Tea time was created by 6 transition year students as part of a TY programme called ‘Let’s Talk TY’. We hope you enjoy!
