EU Exchange by Siofra Gannon, Maia Barry, Aoife Nee, Abby Deane, Marcus Manning

Our podcast called EU Exchange will document the experience of students who have studied abroad. We interview students who to our school on exchange, as well as our own students who went to different countries.  We decided on this idea to inform students about school exchanges. We ask the students various questions for example, what were the differences in school life, sport and culture, what were the hardest parts of the exchange and would they recommend an exchange. We got a variety of different answers, which really showed different perspectives on exchange. 

Overall, we are very happy with our podcast. We learned a lot and had lots of fun. We developed new skills and enjoyed the experience.

Our podcast “TY Tea” focuses on Clifden Community School TY students discussing current events in the school.

We talk about trips we go on, workshops we have participated in, speakers that come to talk to us and events that are happening in our TY lives.

Our podcast includes interviews with other TY students to get their opinions on the topics we cover.

Our podcast titled “Protect our Future” is designed to encourage our listeners of all ages to take simple steps to battle climate change. In this Podcast we explore the following topics: the causes- deforestation, burning fossil fuels, global warming, producing food and the effects- severe weather events, rising sea levels, loss of species, health risks and we also include an interview with Ms. Staunton discussing the purpose of green schools.

Our production team involves Claudia, Denys, Maksym, Val, Anna and Rachel who all contributed to the making of this podcast, including the research, recording, editing, description and cover art of this episode.

We include interviews from team captains and other key players with upcoming fixtures and match reports.

Within this podcast, we will be discussing several landmarks in the beautiful land of Connemara, Galway.   We will discuss the pros and cons of three esteemed locations, recommending whether or not you should visit them.  This podcast was created by Tom Coyne, Craig O’ Toole and Stephen O’Malley. Tom and Craig were part of voice acting, Stephen was part of editing, and all three of us were involved in preparations.
