You've heard of Long Distance Relationships... well nobody was fully ready for LOCKDOWN distance relationships. LDR's are a common theme in global popular culture. We're familiar with the concept, most people avoid it but a year into this pandemic, we are finding ourselves cut off physically from the people we care about. 

In today's episode we try to break things down on how being so distant in a technologically connected world can actually work. Everyone has their challenges in keeping in touch, and we try to talk through all of them and how we've managed to find what's worked to keep our relationships strong. Hope you find some resonance and are encouraged to keep on keeping on. Who knows! You may find something you've never tried before that can breathe some new life into the bonds you have with the people you love.

And just like that it’s been a year since we launched this project and we are officially in season 2! This time last year we uploaded our first podcast and today we’re talking milestones. In today’s episode we catch up on the events that have transpired in between seasons (and why Season one was pretty short!). Plus we get to have a digital audio time-capsule experience where we get a chance to take as snapshot of the journey so far and a hopeful glimpse at what lies ahead! The year may have been difficult but that doesn’t mean we can’t do our best to look ahead while drawing strength from how far we’ve come!

Alexa’s Back! Because we clearly cannot get enough of her. It’s a great way to end the season and our first foray into podcasting. We talk about hanging through recovery and establishing a new season of moving forward and finding the means to really live your life so you can grow. With that, season one of Letters to You ends and will return next week for both our Podcastiversary (yeah that’s a word now) and the very first episode of Season 2!

In which we have Alexa, Mel join us to talk about what most everyone is struggling with in the world: Anxiety. It’s a great four-way conversation around what to do about and how to cope with anxiety. We also talk about how to find safe spaces or make them if you have to. Mostly it’s a great snapshot of what life looked like for us during this brief but all too memorable era when we all lived together.

This episode is a candid conversation between Macky and Rachel about how reframing definitions of success can lead to a more fulfilling and enjoyable life. Traveling the road to fulfilling your dreams and goals is always tough, but with the right mindset and reminders, it can be just as amazing an experience as actually getting to where you want to be.
