In Matthew 2-1-12 we see an account concerning the magi from the East who saw a star and traveled to Jerusalem looking for the newly-born King. Herod was troubled by the news that he discovered that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. he sent the magi to Bethlehem, charging them to tell him the child's location. The star led them to the child- they joyfully worshiped and gave gifts to the child. Then they received a dream that warned them not to return to Herod, and they went home another way.

However, the angel had a joyous announcement concerning the Messiah's birth, whom they would find wrapped up in the cloths and lying in a manger. suddenly when they entered Bethlehem, they saw the child and told Mary and Joseph all they had heard and seen. Mary heard these things and treasured them in her hear. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying the Lord for all they had heard and seen.

In Luke 1-26-28, God sent an angelic messenger named Gabriel to relay a message to a young virgin named Mary. Gabriel announced the future miraculous birth of her son Jesus the Great. Mary declared that she was a servant of the Lord, and would obey- at this, Gabriel departed. From this account, we should be joyful that God has a sovereign plan that he will carry out, through His Son Jesus Christ.
