In Luke 1:26-28, God sent an angelic messenger named Gabriel to relay a message to a young virgin named Mary. Gabriel announced the future miraculous birth of her son Jesus the Great. Mary declared that she was a servant of the Lord, and would obey; at this, Gabriel departed. From this account, we should be joyful that God has a sovereign plan that he will carry out, through His Son Jesus Christ.
