Richard Karp is a professor at Berkeley and one of the most important figures in the history of theoretical computer science. In 1985, he received the Turing Award for his research in the theory of algorithms, including the development of the Edmonds–Karp algorithm for solving the maximum flow problem on networks, Hopcroft–Karp algorithm for finding maximum cardinality matchings in bipartite graphs, and his landmark paper in complexity theory called “Reducibility Among Combinatorial Problems”, in which he proved 21 problems to be NP-complete. يقول أرسطو أن «الطبيعة لا تقبل الفراغ»، تتفق الفرضية  سياسيًا مع الوضع الراهن للدول العربية في المنطقة، فكلما ضَعُفت المنطقة  إقليميًا وسياسيًا، غاب دور هذه الدول  لخدمة مصالحها  الفكرية والتنموية المشتركة، لتصبح  الساحة السياسية بذلك فارغة لمصالح قوى أخرى تملأ هذا الفراغ كواقعٍ لا مفر منه. د. خالد الدخيَّل، أكاديمي وكاتب سياسي، أكمل دراساته العليا في جامعة كاليفورنيا في لوس أنجلوس بالولايات المتحدة الأميركية، حيث حصل على درجتي الماجستير والدكتوراه في مجال علم الاجتماع السياسي. عمل محاضرًا في جامعة الملك سعود بالرياض، وله عدة مؤلّفات ومقالات سياسية وثقافية نشرت في صحف محلية وعالمية.  يرى د. خالد الدخيَّل أن العالم العربي يمر بمرحلة خطرة تهدد مستقبل المنطقة. فالفراغات التي خلفها العرب سمحت للطائفية والإرهاب والنفوذ الإيراني والتدخلات الأجنبية بملء هذا الفراغ واستغلاله، مما ساهم في ارتباك المصالح وتصاعد الخلافات العربية التي باتت تهدد أمن المنطقة واستقرارها.  فاليوم تكالب العرب على بعضهم البعض، وتوسع النفوذ الإيراني  في الأعوام الأخيرة ليمتد من العراق نحو الخليج العربي والشام، وسمح بتسريب الطائفية والميليشيات في عمق العالم العربي لخدمة مصالحه الخاصة. وأحد أهم عوامل هذا البروزِ تراجع الدور العربي والخليجي في العقدين الأخيرين.  أما عن «العلمانية» فيقول د. خالد الدخيَّل أنها لا تزال في المفهوم العربي رمزًا للإلحاد والكفر. إذ يفترض المسلمون تعارضها مع الدين، وهذا الإشكال لا أساس له من الصحة، فدور الدولة يتوقف عند إدارة الشأن الدنيوي وهي منفصله بالأساس عن الدين، فهل من الممكن أن تكون هناك دولة إسلامية علمانية؟  وعن كتابه «الوهابية بين الشرك وتصدع القبيلة»، يعتقد أن تاريخ الدولة السعودية لم يكتب بعد. فالرواية السائدة التي تقول بتفشي الشرك في المنطقة، تفند كل طبيعة المنطقة ما قبل الوهابية، من تاريخ الناس والمدن والإمارات والوضع الاقتصادي والسياسي للمجتمع. ليس للشرك في نجد  بالأساس أي مرجعية دينية، ودراسة الحركة الوهابية مهم لقراءة مشهد تاريخ الجزيرة العربية في العصر الوسيط وفهم دور الحركة في بناء الدولة السعودية.  الحلقة 188 من بودكاست فنجان، مع د. خالد الدخيَّل. تستطيع أن تستمع للحلقة من خلال تطبيقات البودكاست على الهاتف المحمول. نرشّح الاستماع للبودكاست عبر تطبيق Apple Podcasts على iPhone، وتطبيق Google Podcasts على أندرويد. ويهمنا معرفة رأيكم عن الحلقات، وتقييمك للبودكاست على Apple Podcast. وتستطيع أن تقترح ضيفًا لبودكاست فنجان بمراسلتنا على: [email protected]  الروابط:
