LEXCHAT with LexC

As I sit to do my nails, I open up about the first few months of 2021. I battled with feeling like I belonged.

There's been a lot of controversy and uproar over the design of the album cover art for Meek Mill's latest project, "Expensive Pain," and the excitement came after viral videos surfaced of a man being openly disgusted with the display of the work on a tour bus, as well as others.

There are so many things to discuss here. Let's talk about it!

I did a collaboration with hit artist Big Hookz and decided to make an acappella version of it because I love the song so much! Enjoy! =)

Hercules has got to be one of my favorite Disney movies! I watched the behind the scenes on the DVD, and the creators based the songs of The Muses heavily on gospel. Their songs are powerful, challenging, and fun. So, how did I do?

I LOVED reading this book from Alicia Keys! I really need more books by musical influences, especially women in the industry to help me know what to expect throughout my own journey.  Let me know what you think of this review and if you'll read for yourself! =)

There's been so much death to start this year in my life and within my particular circle. Life is truly so short, and memories are all we have left once our special loved ones are gone. Personally, I get anxiety at the thought of losing something that once belonged to my loved one, relating that thing as being an extension of their body, and feeling like once that thing is gone I've lost them as well. I worry about the memories fading, and my chest is pained at the thought. That's why we MUST cherish the moments as they come because once the opportunity for time spent is lost, we can't create new memories.
