Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about why Coyote Ugly Should've Been Gay. We talk about how Coyote Ugly is clearly a lesbian bar, Lil's small town dreams of opening up the best lesbian bar in New York City and how every man in this movie is another commercial for the lesbian tourism board. We talk about baby gay Violet and her fascination with every single Coyote, especially Cammie, how she can't do anything with Mr O'Donnell unless all of the lights are off and she can't see his face, and her love affair with her childhood best friend Gloria. Most importantly, do you ship Violet and LeAnn Rimes as much as we do? Follow along on Twitter @lezhangoutpod and Facebook and Instagram (@lezhangoutpod). Come see us live in LA March 12th or Toronto July 10th.

Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about why Hustlers Should've Been Gay. Inspired by the viral New York Magazine article, Hustlers follows a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients. Our gay synopsis is as follows: young lesbian Destiny works out her Mommy issues with the more mature Ramona, the love of her life and central relationship by which her entire life revolves. From their first scene with Destiny inside of Ramona's fur coat on the roof, to Destiny's jealousy of every other woman in Ramona's life, to their constant physical contact to Ramona literally making their childhood pictures that she keeps in her wallet kiss each other. Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) dive into Booksmart for this Lez-ssentials episode, a recurring segment on the essential movies and TV shows in the lesbian canon. Booksmart is a 2019 American coming-of-age comedy film directed by Olivia Wilde (in her feature directorial debut) and starring Beanie Feldstein (Molly) and Kaitlyn Dever (Amy). We talk about Korean face masks, first times and how we can't decide if we're more George and Alan or Molly and Amy. Booksmart is the movie we wish we had when we were teenagers and we had a blast dissecting every perfect moment. Lez-ssentials comes complete with a Booksmart drinking game because every lesbian movie should be accompanied by heavy drinking. This episode also comes with an original Lez-ssentials song based off of the movie titled "One Night" featuring Karen Knox, Gwenlyn Cumyn, Danny Prikazsky, John Arrow, Zac Zuber-Zander and Andre Korrie.
