Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about why How I Met Your Mother should have been gay with Kate from Hey, Beautiful! the HIMYM Podcast (@heybeautifulpod). We talk about Lily's canon bisexuality. Martinis make her want to make out with Robin, she totally wanted to have a lesbian phase in college and let's be real #scherbaldrin is end game. We talk about Robin's lesbian doppelganger, rocking suits and cigars, her "friendship" with Jessica Glitter and what would have happened if the entire show led up to Lily underneath Robin's window with a blue French Horn to the tune of "Come To My Window." And don't even get us started on the guys of the show and Ted's confusing sex dream about Barney or Marshall or both. Follow along on Twitter @lezhangoutpod and Facebook and Instagram (@lezhangoutpod). Follow Kate and Hey, Beautiful on Twitter @heybeautifulpod for more *no spoilers* How I Met Your Mother recaps.

We chat about why comics are innately queer, why queer people love comic books and why the CW's Arrowverse is chock full of gays and some of Al's favorite comic book to screen adaptations. Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about why Practical Magic should have been gay. The Owens women are cursed to have all of the men that they love die. Obvious solution, love women instead! And don't even get us started on their "eccentric" aunts. We all know eccentric is code word for lesbian. We recast the detective as Reese Witherspoon and totally ship a Sandra Bullock and Reese Witherspoon, witch and detective love story. This is every lesbians' Halloween dream. Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) are joined by Tracey Levesque and Mika Epstein from Lez Watch TV (@lezwatchtv) to talk about why The Facts of Life should have been gay. Our lesbian synopsis is a group of girls, attending a boarding school, tackle issues throughout teenage life and later adulthood without realizing the huge lesbian living among them. Tracey and Mika should totally be hired for the reboot to make sure Jo and Blaire finally get their shot at love. Follow along on Twitter @lezhangoutpod and Facebook and Instagram (@lezhangoutpod).

Leigh and Ellie dive into But I'm A Cheerleader for this Lez-ssentials episode, a recurring segment on the essential movies and TV shows in the lesbian canon. But I'm A Cheerleader is a 1999 movie about gay conversion camp starring Natasha Lyonne and Clea Duvall. Leigh and Ellie love this movie in all it's CAMP-y glory and have a lot to say about the Pepto Bismol colored outfits, finding their root, Andre living his best gay life and the ridiculous cast including RuPaul and Michelle Williams. Lez-ssentials comes complete with a But I'm A Cheerleader drinking game because every lesbian movie should be accompanied by heavy drinking. This episode also comes with an original Lez-ssentials song based off of the movie. "Mommy Dearest." Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about why Disney Channel Original Movie Motocrossed should have been gay. Our synopsis is nothing happens in this movie, there are a lot of Motocross races, Andi is the lesbian daddy to end all daddies and helps the clueless Dean with girls. OR Andi is a trans man who falls in love with Dean and they make the cutest gay twin male couple ever (because they look more alike than Andi and their brother). Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about why 10 Things I Hate About You should have been gay with some help from Tina Kakadelis, the author of I Didn't Start the Fire and Burn Before Reading. Hear us out. Our lesbian synopsis is a pretty, popular teenager can't go out on a date until her ill-tempered sister stops being such a huge lesbian. Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles) doesn't date men because shocker, she doesn't want to and she wants to date women. She spends her weekends at her favorite lesbian bar listening Bikini Kill with her best friend and lover, Mandela. Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger) is the high school lesbian everyone wants to be and Cameron James (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is the high school lesbian we all were. 10 Things I Hate About You: The Sequel follows Kat to college at Sarah Lawrence, because she only wants to be surrounded by women, yet again. This one was just way too obvious. Follow along on Twitter @lezhangoutpod and Facebook and Instagram (@lezhangoutpod).
