Gen 1:26-31 God gave humankind dominion over all the earth but not dominion over God or each other. They had equal authority.
Genesis 3 They sought to have equal authority with God which resulted in diminished dominion over the earth and a dominant desire to control others.
Gen 3:16 The husband rules over the wife thus beginning the history of humanity constantly struggling to control each other.
Gen 4 Cain strived to control his brother which ended in murder; hence, began the history of humanity trying to control each other.
Genesis 14 First World War, so on it has been ever since

    Zechariah 9:8-10; Matthew 21:5

    Zechariah 6:12 and 13

Luke 1:31-33 Apparently, as is seen in the Gospels, the Israelites were looking for the Messiah that would be the king on the throne of David. (Revelation 12:5)

Matthew 2:1-4 Herod understood that the Messiah was the king.
Luke 17:20 “When he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:”
Luke 19:11 They supposed the Kingdom was going to appear immediately.

Jesus spoke of the Kingdom continually.

  • Family

John 7:1-10 At this time, his biological brothers did not believe in him; later, they
    would.
Mark 3:20- 22 His family thought he was beside himself − that is mentally
    unstable.

NIV – When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they

said, “He is out of his mind.”

NLT – When his family heard what was happening, they tried to take him away. “He’s out of his mind.” Later, his family believed.

Mark 3:31-35 Jesus considers those who do the will of God to be his family, not

Hebrews 2:10-13 Jesus is not ashamed to call us brethren.
1John 3:1-ff God is our Father; we are His children if we walk in righteousness

  • Psalm 110

Psalm 110:1-7 Much prophetic information is presented about our Lord Jesus Christ.

“The LORD [Yahweh] said unto my Lord [Adon]….” The second “Lord” in the AV is from the Hebrew Adon, and in the NASB, it is from the Hebrew word Adonai. In the Masoretic Text, it is the word Adon.

    Hebrew Words Translated “Lord”

    • YHWH – Transliterated Yahweh – The name of God
    • Adone – Lord, master, owner, controller; (from a root meaning to rule) – a sovereign
    • Adonai – Emphatic form of Adone – “The Lord” – A title of God translated “Lord;” used 444 times, most of which are referring to God
    • Matthew 22:41-46; Luke 20:42-44 They did not understand that the Christ was also the Son of God.
Acts 2:29-36; Psalms 16:8-10; Acts 13:33-37 Here for the first time, insight is given into the fullness of the prophesy regarding the ascension.
Hebrews 10:11-14 Hebrews brings in the understanding about the sacrifice and high priest.
      Ephesians 1:19-23

Jesus is currently sitting at the right hand of God until Yahweh makes his enemies a footstool for his feet.

      • Right hand – Exodus 15:6-12, Hand of blessing and strength – Psalms 17:7, 18:35; 20:6; 48:10; 60:5; 63:8
      • Footstool – implies humility and subjection – Psalms 99:5, 132:7; Isaiah 66:1
      • He remains at God’s right until God moves to cause the enemies to be in subjection. We know that Satan and the demons will be locked in chains when Jesus returns, and all the kingdoms of the world will have been humbled to the degree of submitting to King Jesus.
      • 2 – Scepter is the rod or staff carried by the king as a symbol of royal power or authority, sovereignty.

3 The royal troops will be numerous and voluntarily come clothed in holy array.
        4 Melchizedek was a priest-king over Jerusalem – Genesis 14
        Zechariah 6:13; Hebrew 5:6-10; 7:22
5 & 6 The king goes out to war, and the Lord (Adonai), as the master of the universe, supports him by being at his right hand. He is at the right hand of the king. Psalms 16:8; 109:31; and 121:5 & 6

A day of accountability is appointed, and the day will be a time of vindication. Psalms 2:-12; 21:9; Isaiah 13:9; and Zeph. 2:3 On that day, Yahweh will judge the nations. Ps. 2:9; 7:8; 9:8; 76:9; and Revelation 19:11-21

7 The king will enjoy victory because the Lord fights for him.

Mark 5:1-20 When the demon occupied man was freed, they were afraid of Jesus and asked him to leave their community.

1Samuel 21:10-15 David was in a life threatening and frightening situation.
Psalms 34:1-10 When we have fear, we need to run to God and not to run away from Him.

Acts 9:1-20 Paul’s best effort to live for God caused him to be one that persecuted the church. His works did not and could not save him.
Psalms 51:1-19 Nothing David could do cleansed him from his sin. If he was to be cleaned, God had to do it for him.
Romans 3 set forth the universality of human guilt.
Romans 3:10-12 Man’s utter sinfulness, helplessness, and hopelessness:

Romans 3:15 and 16 Emphasis on the sinner's feet, where he goes; his ways bring death, destruction, and misery
Romans 3:19 and 20 No one has the ability within himself or herself to save themselves.
Romans 3:21-31 We are saved by grace through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 4:18-25 Abraham, like David and Paul, needed God’s help, and so do we.

        • Have Faith in Yahweh

James 5:7-11 Be patient. The Lord is coming. The prophets spoke in the name of Yahweh. Often times, they were rejected and treated as outcasts for their stand, but they remained faithful to Yahweh. Patiently, they reaped the fruits of their faith.
          James 5:14
The name of Yahweh is powerful. Today, we can invoke the name of Yahweh’s Son, Jesus. His name is also powerful. In Hebrew, his name is Yeshua (Yehoshua/Y’shua) which means “Yahweh is Salvation.” The name Jesus, Yeshua, bears the name of God, Yahweh. There is a name of the Father, and there is a name of the son (Mt 28:19, Rev 3:12, 14:2). When we pray in the name of Jesus, the Father is glorified (John 14:13).
James 5:15-16 The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
          James 5:17-18 – Elijah!

          Elijah

I Kings 17:1 Elijah stood before Yahweh, the God of Israel, during evil times. He had the word of Yahweh: “No rain for three years!”
I Kings 17:2-7 – He followed the word of Yahweh and lived by a brook. He was fed by ravens!
I Kings 17:8-16 – A miracle by having faith in the word of Yahweh
I Kings 17:17-24 – He raised the dead through prayer, having faith in Yahweh.
I Kings 18:1-18 – Again, he is following the word of Yahweh. He’s not doing his own thing. This took boldness and courage. Elijah goes straight to the king who had already had other prophets of Yahweh killed.
I Kings 18:19-39 They had to choose. Who is God − Yahweh or Baal? In the end, it was obvious: “Yahweh, He is God! Yahweh, He is God!”
          I Kings 18:40-46
For three and a half years, no rain fell. Elijah had faith in Yahweh. He prayed as he was commanded and followed the word of Yahweh. This was effective prayer!!! It accomplished much! We today can have faith in Yahweh as the prophets of old did, and we can have faith in His Son, Yeshua the Messiah.
