God has provided human government as a means of maintaining justice and peace among people.

Wisdom is valuable, and righteousness is desirable, but foolishness and wickedness characterize our lives. Fearing God provides a way of escape from temptation and ruin.

The fear of the Lord stabilizes our minds in times of disappointment and frustration, when things do not go according to our plans. We can trust God at all times and pray for His good purposes to be accomplished in this age as we look forward to the coming of His kingdom.

An eternal perspective enlightens our lives in this age. Sober-mindedness helps us navigate the good times and bad times of life, always trusting the goodness, sovereignty, and love of our Creator God.

Everything we have comes from God, even the ability to enjoy His good gifts.

Wealth in this age is often marred by discontentment, restlessness, fear of loss, and other disappointing aspects. But God provides enjoyment and satisfaction to those who would set their affections on the Giver rather than the gifts He gives.

Our Lord Jesus came to lay down His life for sinners and will come again to reign in glory.

The King of Israel has come first to provide salvation of His people from sin. He will come again in victory over all nations and will rule in glory.

God is worthy of our praise and adoration, but we may not enter His presence carelessly or with false promises. He desires true worship from humble people who ready to do His will.

Our relationships too often feature oppression, jealousy, and other negative traits. But godly companionship brings joy and help to navigate this fallen world with God and His grace.
