God promised to bless Abraham and his descendants and even the whole world through them, as realized in the Lord Jesus Christ, the son of David and the son of Abraham.

The Bible uses the name Israel with reference to the man Jacob, his twelve sons, the twelve tribes who eventually became the nation Israel, the land, the tribes of the Northern Kingdom, and the faithful remnant of the people.

Deception abounds in this age, and we must be especially careful to believe the gospel to receive God's forgiveness of our sin.

Our Lord Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. He will save all who come to Him in repentance and faith.

God commands us to fear Him and keep His commandments, particularly to love Him and to love others. The words of the wise prompt us to righteous action as we anticipate God's coming judgment.

Work while you can because life is short. Enjoy what God provides as the fruit of your labor. Live on purpose knowing that you will give an account for what you have done.

The contrast between wisdom and foolishness appears in many different contexts. God wants His people to walk wisely in this age, doing our best before Him, enjoying His blessings, and leaving the results to Him.

We have every reason to humble ourselves before God. The fear of the Lord brings wisdom and joy in this life regardless of the successes and failures we may face.

Life is fleeting and death is coming. Be diligent in your work and enjoy the fruit of your labor. Finish well in the Lord's grace.

Though this world contains much injustice, still we can trust God and obey His word.
