The believer's life is given in union with Christ and is consumed with Christ. We await the glory that comes to those who trust wholly in Him.

Based on our union with Christ, believers grow in holiness by setting our minds on Christ and His Word. This disposition changes our behavior from the inside out, so we can live in a way that pleases God.

Christians must seek the place where Christ is, seated at His Father's right hand having accomplished salvation for us, enthroned as the sovereign Lord of all. These rich truths empower our daily living to please Him in every respect.

Christians grow in holiness as we orient our lives around Christ. Sanctification is less about rules and regulations to control our behavior and more about loving Christ and living to please Him.

While we might attempt in pride to prove our piety based on our performance, we must remember that our righteousness is in Christ alone. Our only hope for overcoming sin now and in the future lies in Christ's person and work.

Union with Christ means Christians need not submit themselves to good works or the lack of bad works as a basis of our salvation. We have been declared righteous through faith in the sufficient work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Christ is the source for our growth and He nourishes us through the truth of His Word. Beware false teachers that would downplay the sufficiency of our Lord Jesus.

False teachers lead their followers away from Christ and toward their own aberrant doctrine. Christians must be wary of any teaching that undermines the supremacy of Christ and the complete salvation He offers those who trust in Him.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has accomplished our salvation and we receive it by grace through faith in His work. So, do not be intimidated by those who say you have not done enough to be saved.
