Liberals have long characterized death penalty supporters as hypocritical because they are anti-abortion but pro-death penalty. Others say the death penalty is not a deterrent to crime and that many are wrongly convicted and sentenced to death. A group called Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty (CCATDP) is selling the merits of an anti-death penalty position. Marc Hyden of CCATDP will call in to discuss a number of death penalty stories in the news and explain the group's platform. Giuliani's comments have touched a nerve, because Democrats and the establishment media are roundly condemning him. Given Obama's questionable associations before assuming the presidency and his unorthodox comments while in office, does Giuliani have a point? The media has been pressuring him to apologize, but America's Mayor has stuck to his guns. We will look at Obama's history, Giuliani's distinguished career and the political football of questioning someone's patriotism.

The blogosphere is abuzz with details of how NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams has repeatedly stretched the truth, i.e. lied, about his coverage of the Iraq War and Hurricane Katrina. Is this much ado about nothing or indicative of the liberal media's proclivity to lie in serving its own ends? Also, ISIS committed another crime against humanity when they burned a captured Jordanian pilot alive on video. President Obama's response was to give a jaw-dropping speech that suggested the West had no right to be on a "high horse" because the Crusades were fought in the name of Christianity almost a millennium ago. We will try to make some sense of it.
