We often try to perceive God's character by giving him human attributes. We need to be careful, however, to impose human limitations upon Him. The final seven-year period mentioned in Daniel 9 tells us of God's ultimate wrath upon the earth. This week, Pastor Ben explains some of what is known as the Tribulation. This is not a time where God steps away from the people on earth. Instead, this is a time where God is putting an end to transgression and draws His people to Him. Even today, as during the Tribulation, God will use suffering to bring people into relationship with Him. We must recognize our sufferings as opportunities to be closer to our Heavenly Father.

Popular culture shows the horror that will occur on the earth after the Rapture. Pastor Doug shows us this week that we believers have a different hope. Our hope that we will spend eternity with Christ is driven by our faith. We should be excited for the Rapture to occur, as it is the beginning of that time with Him in unity. We should also live our day-to-day lives motivated by the idea that any given day may be the day we are called to see our Lord.
