Our spiritual lives should grow, lead to maturity, and maturity should shape our priorities.

God often chooses to speak through His people, the church. But what is the church? What should it look like? Pastor Doug discusses how the church is called to stick together and act as one body. We need to be cautious, however, that we don't fall short of Christ's plan for us.

Our immediate circumstances can cause us to become short-sighted in the scope of our lives. This week, Pastor Doug explains how we can gain a Biblical perspective of what we are going through. We can learn from generations ahead of us and seek the Holy Spirit to give us strength. Through Him, we can have hope that we will get through tough crises and give Him praise that endures forever.

Finding time for prayer is essential to our relationship with God. We can bring small or quick requests to our Father just as we may have a quick comment to a friend or loved one. Similarly, the relationship will not deepen unless we dedicate time to open ourselves to vulnerability. This week, Pastor Doug goes through John 17 to show Jesus as the example of prayer. As He prays to the Father, He shows how deep their relationship is and prays that we may have the same unity - not only with God, but also with each other.
