  • Why You Must Create an Environment for Your Teen to Ask Questions About God with Lauren Green [Podcast]
Yet, when believers truly put God in His rightful place in their hearts and minds, then they, their families, their communities and even entire cultures have been known to thrive in virtually every way imaginable. History reveals the cultural transformations of Christ-centered revivals time and time again—movements that were initiated largely by young people. Could our divisive and morally-depraved culture actually be turned around by our kids?

  • How to Defend Your Parental Rights With Insight From Brad Dacus [Podcast]
Many parents are afraid to exercise biblical discipline or teach their kids the moral standards of Scripture for fear of having their children taken from their homes. Are these concerns legitimate? Do we have more parental rights than we think? And who can we call when we think our rights as parents are being violated?

Our guest, Brad Dacus served as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Phil Gramm, and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas, School of Law. In 1997, Mr. Dacus founded Pacific Justice Institute, where he serves as president and works to defend religious liberties and parental rights. Brad Dacus can be heard weekly on his radio show, The Dacus Report, and he has been a guest speaker on CBS Evening News, CNN, NBC News, and the O'Reilly Factor.

Mr. Dacus has participated in respective debates against the presidents of the ACLU and Americans United for Separation of Church and State. Mr. Dacus has guest lectured at Stanford University School of Law and has testified numerous times before the California State Legislature. He was presented an honorary Doctorate of Religious Freedom and Family Rights degree from California Baptist University.
Do You Know Your Parental Rights
It’s time to give parents back their license to parent. So many kids today are getting amped up and told to do their own thing by friends, social media, and just about everyone and everywhere else they turn to in our culture.

Many kids believe their parents have no right to tell them what to do; they’ve bought the idea that their parents darn sure don’t have the right to brainwash them with all that archaic Christianity stuff. Believe it or not, unfortunately, a lot of this stuff is coming from their public schools.

I hope today we can help blow the lid off of some of the urban legends about the Department of Human Services (DHS) coming in to snatch kids away from parents just because they’re Christians trying to raise their kids according to the mandates of the faith. But, by the same token, there are still some very legitimate concerns that need to be addressed.

Today’s guest ought to be an encouragement as we discuss parental rights by addressing the following topics:

Who is Brad Dacus and why should I listen to him.
What is the Ninth Circuit and why should parents be concerned.
    What is gender identity dysphoria.
Is there empirical proof of gender dysphoria.
Will family services become involved for disciplining one's own child.

  • Why Parents Must Teach Their Kids to Value Sexual Purity in Our Postmodern Culture with Dr. R. Albert Mohler [Podcast]
Is there any such thing as sexual perversion anymore? How do we teach our kids to value sexual purity when pop-culture and today’s mental health industry have seemingly colluded to legitimize virtually all sexual pursuits between adults? Will the age of consent actually be the next thing postmodern progressives will redefine?

Our guest, Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr. serves as president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Mohler received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Samford University and holds a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Philosophy in systematic and historical theology from Southern Seminary. In addition to his presidential duties, Dr. Mohler hosts The Briefing, a daily analysis of news and events from a Christian worldview, and Thinking in Public, a series of conversations with the day’s leading thinkers. He also writes a popular blog and a regular commentary on moral, cultural, and theological issues.

Dr. Mohler has been recognized by Time and Christianity Today as a leader among American evangelicals. In fact, he was referred to as the "reigning intellectual of the evangelical movement in the U.S.” by Time, and as “an articulate voice for conservative Christianity at large” by The Chicago Tribune. Dr. Mohler is sought as a columnist and commentator, and has been quoted in The New York Times, USA Today, and The Washington Post. He has also appeared on news programs such as Larry King Live, Today Show, Good Morning America, and The O’Reilly Factor.
Why Parents Must Understand a Biblical View of Sexual Purity
It seems that the church and so many parents have been silent on the LGBT lifestyle. Why is this?

LGBT issues aside; when I try to stress the importance of parents understanding and linking the tenets of postmodernism with their success in bringing up a child committed to a biblical worldview, very few understand it.

Parents need to defend Scripture’s position on homosexuality and teach their kids to defend it. This can be extremely challenging when there are now masters and doctoral-level “theologians” who are actually using your Bible, and mine, to excuse homosexual practices.

For example; Jesus talks about eunuchs being “born that way.” These same pseudo-theologians will say that eunuchs are homosexuals. How do parents counter this argument when Junior comes home from school using it to justify his same-sex attraction to the “Christian” classmate who shared this argument with him? Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr. and I dive into this topic, as we discuss the following subjects:

How feelings seem to trump logic.
Why are parents so silent about the obvious issues in our culture?
Why are Christian leaders legitimizing the concepts of homosexuality?
Reason parents need to understand postmodernism, in order to understand the acceptance of "normalizing" transgender.
Is the church scared to address the truth about sexuality?
How do parents teach their kids to defend their faith?
Understanding the difference between genders and sexes.
Why you should embrace your responsibility to teach your teens about sexual identity.
How do parents explain the rare occasion when a child is born with ambiguous reproductive organs?
Why are parents and lawmakers permitting kids to choose their identity at such young ages?
    Is there a “gay gene?”
What should parents do when their child says “I’m gay?”

  • How Digital Devices Are Changing Our Children and Our Culture with Marybeth Hicks [Podcast]
Have we poisoned our own kids with the postmodern, politically-correct Kool-Aid that streams 24/7 through all the digital devices that we’ve provided them? These indoctrination tools are creating a much different child and a much different America.

Our guest today is Marybeth Hicks, she is a columnist, speaker and author of the book Don’t Let the Kids Drink the Kool Aid. She was a weekly columnist for the Washington Times and currently writes a monthly column titled Teachable Moments in the Catholic Digest Magazine. She is currently a Fox News contributor for shows like Fox and Friends. Marybeth Hicks addresses issues about popular culture, media, faith and values. Her insights and experience help families understand the trends that influence the next generation and are shaping our nation's future.

Speaking from the heart and from experience, sharing both the poignant and hilarious moments that punctuate family life, as well as the well-informed observer.
Rapid Cultural Shifts and the Impact of Digital Devices
During my lifetime, I remember tremendous cultural changes in the 1960s. I remember my parents squawking about it all the time. First it was the Beatles and their goofy haircuts and music. Then it was all about the hippies and their long hair and sex, drugs, and rock and roll. The world really was changing.

In fact, I heard a former Vietnam POW put it in perspective. He said:

“When I got shot down in Vietnam, America was watching Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore sleeping in twin beds as a married couple on a black and white TV, while the most popular movie in Hollywood was The Sound of Music. When I returned to the States, I came home to Sergeant Pepper, a psychedelic drug and hippie culture, Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In on a color TV, and Dustin Hoffman’s award-winning The Graduate.”

That’s an incredible amount of change in just a few short years! But, even those changes were nothing compared to what digital technology and the internet have done to our culture since then. Today, the world is changing at the speed of light. And now, we—and our kids—have acquired political and moral appetites for things that neither our founding fathers nor our God ever intended we should have appetites for.

Marybeth Hicks and I confront this assault on our families, our faith, and our freedom as we discuss the following topics:

What does Marybeth mean by not drinking the Kool-aid.
There seems to be a unified message that is largely anti-Christian.
What parents should do to address their kids getting misinformation.
What can parents do to keep kids informed about public school's sex education.
How school safety program is replacing sex education.
The importance of context when determining media boundaries.
How to train your child how to navigate media when you are not in the room.
Why parents must know what is on their kid's devices.
The contradiction of the feminist movement embracing Beyonce.
Why parents need to know who is teaching their kids.

  • Will the Trump Administration Change Parenting in 2017 with Todd Starnes [Podcast]
Well, without the help of God—and perhaps even some new perspectives that could come from the changing of the guard in Washington, D.C.—parenting children in 2017 America could be tougher than ever. Do we, the supposed “deplorable” parents, actually have a chance of raising kids that can help make America great again?

Our guest today, Todd Starnes has been at Fox News Radio for more than a decade. His daily commentary is heard on hundreds of radio stations, and his syndicated column is read by millions. He is a frequent contributor on Fox News Channel programs. Mr. Starnes has covered some of the biggest stories of the past decade, from presidential campaigns to the culture wars, and has authored four books, including The Deplorables' Guide to Making America Great Again. He was the recipient of an Associated Press Mark Twain Award for Storytelling and has received many other awards, including the National Religious Broadcaster’s Board of Directors Award in 2014. Todd Starnes is a frequent speaker at churches, Christian conferences, and Christian universities and has delivered messages at the Ronald Reagan Ranch and the Billy Graham Training Center.
Is Parenting in 2017 About to Get Better
As always, our hope shouldn’t be in the one reining in Washington, D.C. Our hope should be in the one reining in the New Jerusalem—that of course being our Lord Jesus Christ. However, I really think this new administration could possibly be an example to everyone—certainly parents—that there is more to being a wise, compassionate, noble and loving human being than simply being politically correct and flattering all the time. These qualities are so often self-serving and just flat disingenuous, and deep down most people know it.

The Bible says we shouldn’t be easily offended. With the right motives, I think that telling it like it is can be the most compassionate thing you can do for someone. Jesus, Peter, Paul and certainly John the Baptist all did it. They didn’t always use soft language when they did it either. As much as we see the flaw of sinful humanity in this new president—as much as his words and leadership style seems to offend the lemmings and snowflakes created by postmodern thought and political correctness—let’s keep in mind that God only has a pool of flawed human beings to work with, and some are flawed in different ways than others.

The Prophet Isaiah confessed to being a man of unclean lips, yet God still used him in a mighty way. The Apostle Peter cursed and swore while denying his Lord and Savior! God even used guys like King Cyrus and others like him to cultivate the ground of revival for His people. So, maybe He could use a guy like Donald Trump.

I think this new administration—if they play their cards right—could help parents realize that higher expectations might actually lead to higher results; that reward should actually be attached to achievement; that trophies go to winners and people of character; that there’s a price to be paid for mediocrity; and that we can find hope in the character produced by persevering through the struggles that life is sure to bring our way.

If this new administration can model the good and the wisdom of what Scripture has plainly taught previous generations of Americans, then hopefully parents will be freed-up to bag some of this nonsensical political correctness and exercise the freedom to raise their kids in a way that’s a little more congruent with a biblical worldview. At least, that’s my hope.

So, my prayer is that this new administration will—in some way, shape, or form—help provide a climate where parents can feel as though they actually do have a "License to Parent" as God ordained it. Right now a lot of parents, even Christian parents, don’t know whether to spit or wind their watches, because of all the political correctness that has metastasized—particul...
