LGBTQ+ representation in TV and movies has steadily increased over the years, with a record number of minorities being portrayed on screen! However, recently, there has been a divide when it comes to what is now being shown to audiences. Shows with a broader representation: First Kill, Ridley Jones, Warrior Nun, the L word: Generation Q, and many more, are just a few examples of LGBTQ+ shows that have been canceled this year! Even within our community, there is a pecking order with a clear line being drawn, inadvertently separating gay men and women from the rest of the community.

Join us for a more serious conversation as we dive head-first into today’s episode concerning recent legislation in the United States.

Like most of you, we didn’t want to drag this conversation out too long, so we kept it short and sweet. Highlighting numerous attacks and discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community — not from hundreds of years ago, or even 20 years ago, but from just last week!

It’s hard to fathom that it’s 2023, and we are still the subject of such ongoing attacks within the legislation that allows hate crimes to go unpunished while simultaneously fueling the fire of hatred and violence against marginalized populations.
