Have you ever been hurt by someone so deeply that you vowed you would never trust anyone like that ever again?
I have.
 I had also forgotten all about it until one day  I noticed a pattern in my life that was problematic involving intimacy in relationships.
I had developed some type of calloused or abscessed area around some of my thoughts and emotions.
Itwas creating a negative impact on my behavior im many of my adult relationships.
I needed heavy amounts of drugs and alcohol in order to allow myself to be open and affectionate.
However, that complicated matters due to the lack of boundaries and impaired judgement in sexual activity.
I was either too hot or too cold when it came to my style of communication.
The same filtered into my clumsy attempts and failures at developing a relationship wit a Higher Power.
It all stemmed from an undealt with inner vow that I made in my youth.
The affect of the unforgiveness created a a desensitized area of my life.
I lacked the abilty to feel.
It wasn't until that inner vow was dealt with and forgiveness was given that I became free to experience God's forgiveness and His love.
His love was there... I just could accept it or feel it.
Inner vows might seem rather childish or harmless on the surface.
Undealt with, they can produce years worth of relationship issues with God and with one another.
God helps us experience freedom from the negative affects of inner vows, lack of trust, and unforgiveness.
Let's let the Helper help us!

Letting go of things that hold us down involves embracing trust.
Trust is at the core of living above our circumstances.
Circumstances aren't able to control us when we place our trust in the ability of God to demonstrate His Kingdom to us and through us providing the necessary power to change our environment... the very atmosphere in which we live is transformed into the ethos of the Kingdom of Heaven.
The plan and purpose of God for Earth and Heaven is a relational thing.
Trust is central to all healthy, loving relationships.
Without trust there is no love.
Love never fails.
Trust is very important for us to express to God and to one another as we grow together in love.

Growing up spiritually involves us learning how to live as citizens of the Highest Realm by allowing ourselves to place our trust in God and follow Jesus up above our circumstances and become aquainted with the ways of God's Kingdom Realm of Heaven.
We don't need to wait for some future date or after we die to live life from the Realm of His Kingdom and limit ourselves to the emperical realm of life on Earth.
We are going to be exploring some of the things that enable us and also hinder us from "Co-operating" with God and the Way He does things in his Heavenly Realm.
This is where the privilege and responsibilty benefits of growing up and maturing come into play!
Boring is for boredom... Real living and authentic liveliness is found in the Kingdom of God!
Come on up and let His Glory come on down!

Far too many years I was caught up in living in only one realm... The Physical Realm.
Not only is it limiting to ones potential to only live in the Physical Realm... It's not even the Highest Realm available for us to live in.
The Highest Realm possible to live in both now and in the future is the Realm known as The Kingdom of God or The Kingdom of Heaven.
Also, for too many years I have allowed myself to be governed by the opinions of other people.
I was, in many respects, a people pleaser with an painfully awkward inferiority complex.
Several months ago I thought I heard the LORD say to me, "Come on up and I will cause my Glory come on down."
I didn't want to say or do much about what I thought I heard because I really didn't trust God or myself enough to act on it... The fear of man choked it out of me.
As my "go to excuse" for doing nothing I would typically say I am a man concerned with "balance."
And I am.
However, I have used the word "balance" as an excuse to do nothing at all that might cause people to think less of me.
Thank God for the reality of His "sanctification" process!
He doesn't leave us stuck in our past.
God has sanctified me.
He has freed me up from the crippling fear of man and a horrible inferiority complex.
I will be expressing in the next few podcast episodes some of the ways God is leading me to "Come on up" and actually do things together with Him.
His desire is to do the same with you... Uniquely in relationship with Him.

If following Jesus only meant that I was going to clean up my thought life and some of the words that came out of my mouth this whole thing would be a pretty shallow religion, at best.
However, we're not talking about a religion.
This is about relationship with God, each other, and as functioning citizens of His ever expanding Kingdom!
Jesus didn't call us into a "self-help" program.
He called us to become citizens of a dynamic, eternal Kingdom that involves functioning with Him as Co-Operators using His amazing power and authority throughout eternity... Starting now!
I have recently made a commitment to God to start "swinging for the fences".
I want to hit some grand slam home runs.
I will be a risk-taker.
I will walk in radical faith, hope, and love!
I've lived in the shallow end of life.
I might make some mistakes but I will make them in an attempt at being obedient to His high calling and His Word!
It's time to venture out into the the deeper levels of living according to His good pleasure!
Come on up, so his Glory can come on down!

I believe many of us have been taught not to see in the realm of the spirit.
Our ability to envision things is stunted because of this in many areas.
Seeing things like God sees them is part of what transpires when we are born-again.
We are given the ability to begin "seeing/perceiving" the activity in the Kingdom of Heaven.
God wants us to be able to see things with Him!
This episode is an encouragement for you to let go of fear, guilt, shame, and unbelief and enter into the calling and freedom to see visions and dream dreams that are from Him concerning some of the things He wants us to do now!

All of us have at least once or twice needed to lean back and take a long, slow, nose full of air just to calm down.
Love knows how to breathe in deeply through the nose in order to excercise patience.
Love is patient.
Love is enduring and long-suffering.
Love doesn't just impatiently tolerate things.
Love has long nostrils.
It can take in deep a breath and keep things in perspective while waiting for results to change positively in the future.
We are called to be people with long nostrils... LoL.
Let's take a closer look at what this is all about...

The cicada is an insect that lies dormant for 17 years and when the time comes for them to emerge, they come out en masse.
Timing...
The Presence of God can seem non-exstant for many years and suddendly when the time is right He reveals Himself in a very significant Way.

We are living in a time in which God is revealing Himself (again) in a very significant Way.
Timing...
How we respond to this revelation will determine how we go about living our lives throughout eternity!

Perfect love casts out all fear.
Perfect trust casts out all unbelief.
We can't be full of unbelief and anxiety and love and trust at the same time.
We are the ones who choose.
There's a realm that is greater than the realm of fear and unbelief... It's the realom of God's Kingdom.
He is teaching us how to walk in His Kingdom just like He walks in His Kingdom.
We are on a journey of growing up in the areas of love and trust.
Beholding and becoming ... More and more like God!
