Life Bursts with Matt and Sarah

On February 19, 2026, the Bridgewater community gathered for a high-stakes Town Hall event ahead of the South Australian State Election. Hosted by Activating Bridgewater and broadcast by Lofty Community Media, this forum brought the candidates for the seat of Heysen face-to-face with the issues that matter most to the town.

In this episode, moderator Michael Cornish facilitates a deep dive into local priorities, featuring:

• Josh Teague (Liberal Party - Incumbent)
• Marisa Bell (Labor Party)
• Genevieve Dawson-Scott (SA Greens)
• Gregory Davis (Animal Justice Party)

Key Discussion Points:

• Infrastructure & Safety: Detailed plans for the Carey Gully Road and Mount Barker Road intersection.
• Major Pledges: Breaking down the $1.5 million commitment for a new pedestrian crossing in the heart of Bridgewater.
• Youth & Recreation: The future of local skate parks, pump tracks, and youth engagement.
• Community Identity: How each candidate plans to preserve Bridgewater’s heritage while managing the growth of the Adelaide Hills.

Whether you're concerned about public transport, local safety, or the environment, this non-partisan forum provides the essential information every Bridgewater resident needs before heading to the polls.
