Whether we are ready or not the political season is upon us—more bumper stickers, signs, headlines, facebook posts, slogans, Trump or Biden. Both parties have extreme elements driving polarization, and that polarization seeps into our national ethos. As Jesus followers, we get to ask the question… What would Jesus do? Would Jesus side with the Democrats or the Republicans? We want to put Jesus on our side! Would Jesus create some middle political ground? Stick his head in the sand? Listen to talk shows? Rant online? We don’t have to wonder what Jesus would do. We can look at what Jesus did when he walked the earth in the midst of greater political turmoil than our own!

Daniel distinguished himself by his exceptional qualities. He wasn’t corrupt, like the others. He wasn’t negligent like the others. Instead he was trustworthy and true which was earning him a promotion. That promotion caused terrible jealousy among his rivals.
